Lou's good for college football. He loves the game, the guy was a great coach. I think he is a polarizing guy---you either like Holtz or you hate him.

He picks Notre Dame for every thing, which is bias as hell.

His speeches are at least amusing to those with a slight intellect...To what degree is up to each's personal preference, as is his overall real analysis.

Kirk Herbstreit is also pretty bad ass. Lou knows his sh*t, and despite his record setting lisp, still communicates his thoughts. Unlike Corso, poor old man forgets his lines and theyre written down right in fornt of him! But theyre both great.

if i was in the lockeroom for one of his "motivational speeches", i would be looking around at all the other players seeing if they were laughing as hard as i was and then while he was talking i would go have diarrhea in the nearest toilet to try and drown out his voice.....that crap he says isnt motivation, maybe back in 1940 it was but no one reacts to that shit anymore, i would be more motivated if a badass coach was yelling at the team to pick it up and to quit slaying girls (duke lacrosse)

I think he does have some solid insights from time to time. My only problem with him is he such an unabashed homer for ND. I don't think I ever saw him once make a prediction pick against ND. It seems even he laughs sometimes when making his ND picks, knowing there's little chance they'll win but that he's somehow obligated to go with them anyway and then find a reason for justifying the pick.

He does have some funny one-liners from time to time. Like when he told a QB recruit he would never throw 5 interceptions in a game if playing for ND. The reason being that Holtz would yank him after 4.
