Just locked in LSU -6.5 vs. West Virginia!! I can't believe this line is this low!!
West Virginia will struggle tremendously to move the ball! LSU defense is so fast and talented it's not even funny. The offense is slow but LSU is winning majority of the phases of there games and that's special teams and defense!

I've seen a LSU Nick Saban coached defense and this one is just as good! The schemes and diskises that Chavis is throwing out this year is what us Tiger fans has been screaming for on defense since Bo Pelini left in 2007!

West Virginia will struggle with a 8 OCLOCK kick off in Death Valley with a bunch of loose drunk cajuns going crazy!

    Tigers -6.5!!

Saban is terrible, I can easily see WVU covering this game..... DO NOT bet this game! Both coaches are money pits

I am not saying LSU isnt fast.

But WVU is very fast on offense. Playmakers Like Sanders, Devine, and Austin. I understand its at night in Baton Rouge. No doubt that will play a factor. However, this will be the fastest team on offense they have seen so far this year.

That being said. I dont know if WVU can pull it off. As long as they dont shoot themselves in the foot this one will be close.

I def look for -6.5 to go higher though.

Both coaches are far from top tier. I have to say that I trust Miles more. Pains me to say that I trust Miles

LSU has the best corner back in the nation...Peterson will be a Top 5 overall draft pick...This will also be the best defense WVU has seen all year.....LSU wins by atleast 10

North Carolina blows----and they lit up LSU pretty good.

I am not sure I would play this one either way.

I'll say this though-----Devine is as fast or faster than any LSU defensive player.

Martin North Carolina lit LSU up in the 4th quarter when Chavis mistakenly pulled his starters and played a butt load of true freshmans. This is a prime example of how stats can be misleading. LSU was leading 31-10 and they was forced to pass the ball, and to add on they were passing the ball on true/red shirt freshmans.

People were saying the same thing last year about the Saints defense. When your team is up by 2 to 3 touchedowns your defense will give up yards simply because the offense is going to forget the run and go pass heavy.

But this LSU defense is good and I know good when I see it. Trust me I been around good defensive cordinators when it comes to following football. Mushamp (Texas head coach in waiting), Pelini (Nebraska head coach), and Saban who is a GURU when it comes to defense. Trust me..after all these years of great d cordinators you can ask any LSU fan what excites them more ?? a good defense or offense ? and majority will say a good defense!

West Virginia is a paper tiger. They're not going into Death Valley at night and winning. No Big East team can. No matter how bad Jordan Jefferson is. Moneyline lock of the week.

                            And that is true!

Even Herm Edwards had to make a comment on the defense. I really have to give Chavis credit he is diskising his defenses and that fits LSU personal perfect..

The way that LSU struggled with a 2nd string North Carolina Team I wouldn't be too quick to bet the house. I am letting this one get inflated up over a touchdown and pouncing. I am not convinced that LSU is going to beat WVU or that this is an open and shut case. Lot of pressure on WVU as this is one of the biggest games of their season.

we will learn alot about Geno Smith its one thing to put up good numbers vs coast car, marshall, and maryland lets see what he does vs this Lsu defense in a night game at a sold out Tiger Stadium. Im betting he wont light up the Tigers secondary. Lsu will own both defensive and offensive lines. Wvu would have to play mistake free football to hang with LSU and under Bill Stewart they dont. I have no doubt LSU will move the ball vs that wvu defense.

The average weight of wvu's defensive lineman is 267.4 lbs. And not one WVU defense lineman weighs over 300 lbs.

LSU's average weight on its offensive line two-deep is 304.7 lbs............LSU will dominate the line of scrimmage and run the ball with alot of success.

I don't know how you can say Geno Smith put up "big" numbers against Marshall. They almost lost that game.

If you are talking to me i said " Good " numbers re-read my post I never said big numbers. Geno went 32 of 45 for 316 yards and one touchdown no ints. Last time i checked Geno doesn't play defense not sure how you can put that "almost lost game" on him. Marshall had some big plays vs that wvu defense.

Bruce Irvin will have Jordan Jefferson on his back more times than you can count on one hand.. he has already come out saying that this is his Sugar Bowl..

                                                              from Charleston Gazette article:

And then there is the take on the game presented by one Bruce Irvin, WVU's just-awoken sack machine. Stewart is apparently going to have his work cut out for him conveying to the junior college transfer that this is simply Game 4.
"This is for all the marbles to me, baby,'' Irvin said. "This is my Sugar Bowl right here. If you want to be considered the best, you've got to play the best. It's going to be good.''
For Irvin, this is a bit more than just West Virginia at LSU. That's intriguing enough just for all of the usual reasons: Two Top 25 teams (LSU is No. 15, WVU No. 22), a night game at perhaps the most famous night venue in all of college football, the chance for the much-maligned Big East to finally make a statement this season, not to mention it being without question the Mountaineers' 2010 litmus test.
No, for Irvin it's more than that simply because he's a Southern guy, having grown up in Atlanta.
"The SEC, I mean, that's the best conference in college football,'' Irvin said. "You always want to play against the best. If we can do good against the best, there's no telling what we're going to be able to do.''
                                                              But there's another, more
personal reason that excites Irvin about Saturday night's game.
"Man, one of my closest friends, Kelvin Sheppard, No. 11, he's the starting middle linebacker for them,'' Irvin said. "It's going to be everything right here. He's No. 11, I'm No. 11. We're going to see who has the best day.''
