You are overlooking the fact that Virginia Tech would have been at least -24 two weeks ago based on preseason power ratings, so this line actually HAS been deflated to reflect the early season play of the reams.

i liked ecu +19.5 until I see that everyones on it which makes me think twice. The bookmakers saw the previous games of VT and they aren't exactly in the business of giving away money. Plus I have the feeling that after losing to JMU they really get it together this week and start on the right track if they want any shot at having a decent season

You do realize that Memphis and Tulsa are two of the most horrible programs especially on the defensive side of the ball. (ECU's first two opponents)

I would forget that 0-2 versus 2-0 tagline. ECU would also be 0-2 if they played Boise and JMU. 19.5 sure does seem like a ton of points, but ECU has beaten who exactly? Memphis is among the 5 worst teams in 1-A football and ECU played them at home. They also played Tulsa at home----and got lucky----very lucky--scoring on a hail mary to win that game. Tulsa isn't exactly Boise material. I wouldn't play this game, but if I did---I would lean VT. ECU hasn't played a road game yet, and sooner or later VT is going to get its shit together and god help the team that plays them that week.

Isn't this just another example of why the early season is littered with easy plays such as this. The line makers just don't have everything nailed down yet and create a lot of..."opportunities" for us.
