yeah I am hesitant because it looks too easy. ECU has averaged 50 ppg and Tech has a young, inexperienced defense. They will certainly bounce back and win this game, but how do they win by 20 points I do not know.

yeah it does look easy..... i have watched both ot the ecu games and they can score a ton of points.

ecu played tulsa and memphis.. they beat tulsa in a shootout on the last play, and beat memphis 49-27.. game is at va tech

seems like a trap, but ECU can score and I gotta think VT is a bit low on confidence...probably going to book it today while it's still 19.5

ECU is one of my best bets of the weekend. Usually I'll stay away from lines like this that look to easy, because it's usually a trap. But in this case I think the linesmakers are still thinking VT is going to live up to their preseason ranking and will have a breakout game. Personally I think this will be a very down year for VT. The +19.5 is way to juicy to pass up

I like ECU. Back door wide open here if things go wrong. ECU happy to be in this dog roll and I suspect comes in confident and looking to win, not stay close. The pressure is on VT to get a win, doesnt have to be a convincing one.

plus memphis and tulsa are not comparable to Vtech IMO
looks like if ECU doesnt cover a lot of people in trouble.

Well Va Tech's schedule is nothing to write home about either, nor is their record. Yes, VT is a step up but 19.5 points up?? ECU can move the ball, no doubt about that. So even if VT throws up 35 or even 40 it still might not be enough. VT needs to score 50 for the easy W and I dont think that is much of a risk...but could be wrong.

You could be right.
Its still very early in the season
no one knows if ECU can perform the same at home or on the road
this week will let us know, i like to tread lightly the first few weeks

Let's not forget that VT played James Madison the Saturday immediately after a Monday game. Hence why Boise had a bye week afterwards.

ECU covers this one...VTech will win this game, but not by 20. ECU has too much offensive firepower and will keep up with the hokies. Been riding e car first 2 weeks and covered so far. They are a talented team, I just wish VT didn't lose to james madison or else this line would be insane. Don't hesitate on this pick.

VT might try to run it up if they can.I'm not sure they can however. Everyone is on ECU to cover but the line keeps going the other way(giving ECU more points) I say VT by 18ish

The way VT got embarrassed on Saturday will rally this team. Not only was it embarrassing on the field, but after the game the JMU fans made sure to rub it into the Hokies face. (Which I am happy about) Lets not forget VT is no slouch. Take away that last minute drive against Boise St. along with a lot of other uncharacteristic plays by the hokies all game, and Vt wins that game and rolls into this past saturdays game with confidence and momentum and knocks off JMU. Had this happened this team would be in NC talks. Theres no way VT wins this game by less than 3 TD's.

Is hard to judge by what should have or could have happened. Easier to just go by what did happen. I look for Ecu to cover again. If its a late drive or blunder by vt that's fine too.

A team can bounce back from a loss to a good team like Boise and being taken out of the national championship picture...a team cannot easily bounce back from being taken out of national respect by losing to a team like James Madison at home! They are embarrased, dejected, and spiritless. They will probably win here, but will not dominate...ill take 19.5 here all day.
