Kansas vs. Southern Miss

Until I can get a handle on Kansas, I'm staying away. Some good thoughts, though.

I don't care which coach is doin what RAS is on s.miss so that's where I'm goin so if you like kan just wait cause there will def. be heavy line movement and you'll be able to get it at a better number just an opinion

This will be an interesting game... Southern Miss is definitely not as bad as they looked in the opener.

I would lean towards Southern Miss. Kansas is not a good football team and don't read too much into the Georgia Tech game. Georgia Tech, I think is overrated as is the entire ACC. Thinking you are going to be one dimensional vs. Big 12 teams is just plain stupid. That crap may work in the ACC but not in any other conference. I would actually go against both Kansas schools this weekend. K-State has an awful quarterback and their win vs. UCLA is now not looking so hot. Missouri State played them fairly tight and moved the ball fairly well. Iowa State will have success against KSU.

Wow, total is only 48....thought it would be higher

I'm really surprised the total is so low considering USM is averaging 36 pts/game vs D1 opponents at home under Fedora. Too close to call for me.

Be careful with that one. It seems both teams are having running back issues, unable to determine a solid starter. Im sticking with my original sentiment that the game will be relatively low scoring and will resemble more of a defensive battle. However, I wish the posted total was higher to leave more of a margin of error. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Huge Kansas fan, graduate, and season ticket holder. With Jordan Webb as our starting QB we are a completely different team. We were simply not ready for the opener. Starting the wrong qb, rb, lb's, etc... We got it together for the GT game and really came out swinging. Look for Ryan Sims (RB) and Justin Spinger (LB and Defensive player of the week in the BIG 12) to have have big games, as well as Webb.

I like Kansas to win outright, but the plus 5.5 is a gift.

I watched Kansas play G Tech last week, because I had G Tech and Kansas moved the ball at will vs G Tech. They also controlled Nesbit and pressured him all game long. I know it was just one game, but Kansas is better than critics thought they would be and for that reason I took Kansas tonight in a 10 point TEASER at +15.5 and feel very confident about this one.

Let's not forget these guys only gave up 6 points in their loss. Their problem was the offense and they seem to have that figured out now.

A Kansas fan posted the reason for the turn around was Kansas had the wrong players at every position to start the season. Sounds strange but is possible with a new coaching staff.

It seems everyone likes the over, but I can't advise against this enough. The total is up to 52 so you are already getting value based on the opening line. My prediction is the game goes under the original total of 48.

Kansas win last week was no fluke, they dominated that game. Their QB switch was everything.

Kansas was undervalued after the Dakota disaster and now they are OVERvalued after the GTech upset. I'll take the value with SMiss and the healthy points!
