he had a mild concussion but in a conf call, the coach said he is doing much better. he has been seen around campus today near the practice facilities. so... i'm hoping he plays.

i think -2 is only valid if keenum does not play

With or w/o Keenum, I think they pound UCLA on the ground. Just booked it at -2.5.

Good job of getting a good line. I got -3 for a small play. I'm not comfortable with a bigger play until I get confirmation that Keenum is playing. But either way, I'll be pulling for you and UH.

Keenum is listed as day to day this week after showing symptoms of a concussion while taking a blow to the head making a tackle (interception) Friday against UTEP. Houston coach Kevin Sumlin said Keenum was "displaying symptoms of a mild concussion" on Friday. He added that his condition has "improved dramatically" since then. Sumlin says the team has followed its concussion management plan, but wouldn't provide more details on the injury.

UCLA also has quarterback issues. It looks like Kevin Prince will get the start this week after many thought he would be benched. Neuheisel said today Prince would be the QB. Of the 22 drives directed by Prince, 10 ended in a punt, 6 with either a fumble or interception and 1 missed field goal.

houston d is getting better, UTEP is a pretty decent team on offense i think they were 5 or 6 in the nation for scoring last year. so to judge houston d on that is not accurate

but yeah, houston d sucks major d*ck

Houston takes this game by at least 10. UCLA is an well rounded team if you are looking at a high school team!!!!!!!! But as a college team I have more faith in the North Texas Mean Green. Houston is not the best in D but they are better then UCLA's Offense and that is all that matters. I am sure that the coogs take this in a sweep.

Houston wins this game, but their defense is still not good. UTEP has nothing this season. A 31-10 win over Arkansas Pine Bluff is garbage. We will see how they hold up against Miss. State.

This is an absolute must win for UCLA win Texas on deck next...normally that would worry me. But getting blanked by Stanford at home does not bode well for their ability to turn it around, especially not against one of the best offenses in the country. Houston rolls.

With Keenum, Houston wins by at least a TD ... UCLA is a mess, and no one out there seems to care that much.

After that last post, I no longer feel very good about my pick of the week. Maybe they'll get up for this one since theyre playing a BCS conference school....even if it is lowly UCLA.

Yes, but there wins over Okie State and Miss State on the road as dogs were more impressive IMO.

I like Houston in this one as they get receivers in space and they can run the ball. I'm not sure UCLA can do anything right. I'm also curious of the Over/under as I'll be leaning Over as well.

Taking that into account to back UCLA is actually inverse gambler's fallacy but anyway. I saw K today at the practice field, I was playing tennis right next to the field and he's playing on Saturday but I'm still passing on that game. The +3 for UCLA is getting more action and they have looked like shit this year. As a Cougar I really hope they win and cover easily but as an sports investor I believe there are many other better opportunities to make some $ this week.
