I still don't believe VT is a shit team.. I think this is a common overreaction to a loss. I think there are Boise haters out there, which is fine, but they are a solid squad this year... No doubt.

Are you telling me Boise hasn't a shot against a disappointing Florida team this year?? Also, UGA, LSU, South Carolina, Arkansas, Auburn or Penn St?? I think Boise is a better team than ANY team you just mentioned this year...

The better team doesn't always win. Sometimes teams game plan poorly, or quarterbacks get nervous on the road, or guys are injured, suspended, guys underestimate their opponnents... good coaches spot weaknesses and attack them with strong game plans...

If you are Alabama, and you have a shitty game against LSU, you lose.
If you are Boise State and you have a shitty game against Wyoming you still win


See the difference? Bama could go 10-2 when they get outplayed by one of the STRONG teams they play against... Boise State has a couple hard games per year and then cruise control... They should still be able to beat their opponents when they play shitty games.

I hope Boise State even with an unbeaten record don't get a shot at the National Championship. There win against VTech was a huge win on the road whether Tech won today or lost. With Boise's upcoming schedule theres no reason why they shouldn't go unbeaten. Until they start playing some top 25 ranked teams (which isn't their fault that they don't) you cannot rank this team as the best football team in the Nation period.

They need to win all of their conference games by big margins. If they do that then I would have no problem with them finally getting a chance to play for the national title. Giving them that 1 shot would decide a lot. If they win we see that Boise and some other small schools and small conferences having been getting screwed. If they get blown out then we can say that they don't belong in the national title conversation. We need a playoff system plain and simple. I would like to see a 16 team playoff.

This is my fundamental problem with letting BSU play for the NC. I agree that in a one-game situation, BSU can likely play with just about anyone. Lets be honest - does anyone really think that if Va Tech played JMU another 10 times that JMU would win another one? My issue with BSU is that they are the only school in the country that can play two average opponents and 10 cupcakes and get a shot at the title. Why would ANYONE schedule hard opponents anymore if that can happen? Why should Bama play UF/UGA/LSU/etc. if they can get in by beating Penn St and a bunch of weaker opponents?
