#8I'm staying away from that Army-Hawaii game, Hawaii's offense looked good but I garuntee Army won't miss nearly the amount of tackles that USC's pansy defense did. I don't know much about Army's team but I bet they practiced in full pads unlike USCComment -

#10I think OKST -13.5 against Troy looks pretty solid. I would be careful with Cal against Col. Col is underestimated in my opinion this season. I think they're a very live dog at +9 or +9.5 against Cal.Comment -

#12game is a classic trap my friend.. no one saw the army game as the whole country saw the hawaii game.. everyone thinks hawaii is decent for hanging with USC.. so them catching points against a service school is a no brainer for squares..

#13No brainer of the weekend is Georgia Tech -13.5 over Kansas (line is -14 now I believe). Also, Boston College -16.5 at home against Kent State is a great play.
You'll find I'm partial to betting on the ACC (see profileComment -

#15I like Cal, but that ISU and Iowa game is iffy for me. Whenever Iowa has more than a -10 spread against ISU they lose the spread, so if I had to pick one I would pick ISU.Comment -

As for the GT/Kansas game - Kansas is bad. Horrible? No. But Tech is a legit team this year, despite losing their leading RB/WR and two key guys on D. Doesn't matter - they're still gonna drop 30+ on the Jayhawks. Kansas simply doesn't have the offense to compete.
Very rarely do I say homerun bet, especially with the ACC - but GT is. Am I wrong? We'll see. But I personally have a pretty penny riding on -13.5Comment -

#19it is mich +4 and hawaii +3
yea army really put it to eastern mich
the only reason the line is where it is, is because the 6 hour time difference. that's gotta be a 6 pt change compared to a neutral field. hawaii's offense was ridiculous and their quarterback is the real deal
same with michigans new qb, he will rip up notre dame and the mich d will shut down the ground game like they did against uconn.
these are 2 special plays, go big or go home, don't mess with 4-8* picks when you have 2 10* starring you in the face, imoComment -

Plus, there is a good chance Hawaii is being over valued from offensive output last week.Comment -

#23Aman86, I'm a bit of a newby at this stuff. What does 10 star, 10 unit mean to you. I play ALL my games at $200 each for the entire season....have for over 15 years or so. Do you mean for me to play your play, I need to play $2000. What if I lose? It would take me 10 games just to get even.
Please explain.....this newby doesn't understand. By the way horseshoe...what do you play per game?Comment -

And people still don't recognize the significance of this angle. The only thing that worries me with my army play is that I heard Hawaii flew out early. This may negate some of the effect of the 8+ hour flight, time difference, lost prep time. But still, i think Army wins by double digits.
Plus, there is a good chance Hawaii is being over valued from offensive output last week.
exactly.. Hawaii is a rough place to play.. and i don't think we saw the real USC that day.. even though they aren't a great squad this year...
again maybe hawaii wins.. but my gut says take army.. the min i saw this line i knew right away army was an auto playComment -

#25I definitely don't think Michigan is the easiest play on the board...I think they'll cover, but ND's passing attack is way better than Uconn's, and Michigan's secondary is weeeeaaaaaakkkkComment -

#30To all liking the GT game... I would be very very careful... I am not telling you that it wont happen but I can tell you that the Under is a much much stronger play... Georgia Tech was awful last week in passing situations.. (I was at the game)... The routes looked very unpolished and the blocking was terrible as well... Joshua had one completion and 1 interception... Kansas on the other hand had one of those flukey games.. their defense was very good especially against the run... they wont be pushed off the ball and they have good tackling secondary...
Turner Gil knows the ins and out of the option about as well as Paul Johnson so you can likely expect that Kansas will be well prepared to play assignment football and rely on the defensive backfield to make good tackles out in the flat... Tech could bust big runs last year because they had a force up the middle in Jon Dwyer... this year they lack which means teams can worry less about the fullback trap..
I think this game ends 24-13 or somewhere around there...Comment -

#33Seems like everyone is ignoring some of the "under the radar" matchups. IMO the "easiest" pick on the board is BYU. BYU owns Air Force and +1.5 is a gift. Just watch this line move and they'll be favored come gametime. Another solid pick would be UNDER 47 Georgia/South Carolina. With the exception of last year's shootout, these teams always play defensive battles and both defenses looked solid after opening games against practice squads. 1st SEC game should be a little sloppy and a low scoring affair, similar to the Auburn/Miss. St. game tonight. Take these 2 bets and you'll come out on top.Comment -

#34Here's a fun thought: Washington State and New Mexico. Its pretty clear that these are two of the worst coached programs in I-A (other than Eastern Michigan which will probably go 0-12 again). Just about any team can name their score against them. Texas Tech can cover the 24.5 pt spread vs. New Mexico without breaking a sweat. Wazzu is playing a I-AA team this week so we'll have to wait until next week to profit off them.Comment -
