Despite the loss to BYU last week I thought the Huskies played well. I don't see Syracuse giving Washington much of a contest in Washingtons home opener. I really like Washington this year and the BYU loss doesn't effect my thinking of them at all, I played BYU. I am thinking we see a big rebound for Locker and the boys against a weak Syracuse defense. Don't read too much into Cuse beating the Zips last week. Akron is absolutley terrible and the fact Cuse only scored 3 offensive touchdowns against them doesn't bode well for Cuse this week.

Not high on Rutgers this year an while FIU is nothing to yell about they have a habit of covering these big spreads against Big East opponents. They are 5-0 ATS against Big East opponents all-time and in all of those games they gave the opponents a pretty good scare. Rutgers struggled last week against Norfolk St, don't be fooled by the 31-0 final that was a 6-0 game at half and if they don't show up against FIU they will find themselves in a dog fight.

I have had this game circled for a long time now and I have never wavered from the thought that Bama will run Penn State out of the stadium. But, I don't like this number. It is a little too big to put a big play on so I will keep it as a standard play. However, if Ingram were healthy maybe it wouldn't matter. PSU starting a true freshman? Against Alabama? Ha!

Ok so my book only put up the lines for over/unders today (It sucks but its Australia) the over for USC/VIRG game is now at 51.5? (as u said it would..) Would you suggest I take it now or wait until just before the start of the game as it probly wont get much higher? Or leave it alone all together?

49 points and 51.5 points isn't all that much of a different. 49 points=7 touchdowns, 51.5=7 touchdowns + a FG. I made this a big play for me. I would play this all the way up to 52 large and anything over that just a normal play. That being said you should pounce if you are going to play. The only direction this line is going to go is up. I could see it settling at 54 now. The bottom line is I think USC gets to atleast 42. Can Virginia score 10 points? Absolutley, this defense looked terrible, not something you can fix in a week. I am expecting a 45-17 type of game. If you are going to play it then play it now. I would still play large at 51.5. However, if you don't feel comfortable I would buy down to 49. I never buy points on totals as it is pretty unprofitable but everyone has there ways. If I was in you shoes I would play the 51.5 for 2x.

I do have to say though I was way off on that Miss St game. I thought Miss St would come out much stronger on offense. I wasn't surprised at them holding Auburn to 17, the defense is pretty good this year. Auburn had a good strategy though. They stuck to the run which was the only way to win this game, something I wasn't sure they would do.

My book has this at 75.5.. It is such a high number but last time they played total was 99.. everyone is on the over but I just cant do it with it being so high might stay away.. whats that song in my head "history... never repeats"

Really just forced this play. My only action from 12:20 until 7:00 is Michigan +4 and this really the best I could find. I do think this is a good play though. I think Ohio State proved in the Rose Bowl last year they are a lot better then they get credit for. I mean, they always are ranked high but they never get that respect of being an elite team in the country. The talk arises about how they are chokers and the Big Ten is soft, etc. Well notice a few things, year after year they have scheduled a monster opponent every 2nd week of the season. In 2005 and 2006 they split the series with Texas and then the past two years they lost to USC. Finally, they scheduled a good team that is very beatable. Ohio State impresses me and at home I think they have a good chance to overwhelm Miami early on and jump out to a two score lead. I do think things may tighten up down the stretch but I think the first 30 minutes of this football game will be a big statement for Ohio St.

Also want to be more alert on the 2H's tomorrow. 2H lines are something I feel like can be taken advantage of if you are alert and can form a fair and honest opinion based on the flow of the game, how both teams are playing, and how things will effect them in the 2nd half. I am hoping that FSU/OU game is a close on because I would love to jump on OU at a reduced 2H line.
