I have options to bet in a couple of different sportsbooks as well as a local. The sportsbooks obviously move their lines a great deal but the local basically keeps his the same with some very minor exceptions. Also, he does not do totals and he does not list his games with half points (only whole numbers). His limits are also relatively low which kinda sucks. I am basically wondering how often I should be using his lines while betting the other side of the game at a different book. For example:
Florida is -35 at his book while Miami Ohio is +38. I think Florida is +EV at -35 but it seems like a good opportunity to play both sides. Thoughts?
Northwestern is -3 at his book while Vandy is +3.5. I think Northwestern is +EV at -3 but once again the opportunity seems very good. Obviously the difference here is only a half point but clearly the numbers involved are big deal.
There are a few more games like this. How often would you be trying to take advantage of these opportunities. Thanks in advance for any advice or input.
