I personally think regardless of the recent past that Oregon State wins or atleast loses by no less than 4 to 7 points

Oregon St always embarrasses themselves when they play nationally televised big games in September with Riley as coach. They usually look decent in the first quarter but then just fade away. (At Cincinnat a couple years ago, at Penn State a couple years ago, both those games they just got crushed) This may be different because of so many returning players from a good squad last year, but TCU is legit (as MJFtheGenius writes). I think they're ranked 5th in the country in one of the polls. They also return almost their entire squad that went undefeated last year (minus their very close BCS bowl game loss to Boise State). I think the 13 point spread is pretty good. You never know what you're going to get with the Beavers... sometimes they upset #1 USC, other days they get blown out.

I wouldn't take the Beavers at +13 in an away game on ESPN against TCU this year. Even if the game is "close" the Oregon St. Beavers could still lose by 2 touchdowns.

This is my game of the day. OSU will finally be ready (I hope). I expect the Rodgers brothers will be very hyped to come back to Texas and the talent should be fairly even. Having a new QB is troubling but I think they will be prepared for any blitz packages TCU scripts. OSU has come out already and said that they could play for a national title if they run the table so they have the swagger.

This game should be close...

But... any BCS team would probably play for a national title if they run the table... so not really sure why OSU saying that is important. UCLA or even Washington St. could say the same thing.

I don't think I've heard a coach say that they can run the table much... Especially when they have a daunting schedule including the Pac10 and Boise and TCU. Very confident he seems, which I like.

This^^ everybody likes the beavers herbie just picked them "not so fast" just said beavers by 3 touchdowns with a serious face ... did i miss something did they move this game to Corvallis? did the Ncaa grant canfield or Moevao another year? Did the beavers find a pass rush? Katz is going to learn on the job on the road vs TCU's defense its a little bit different then coming in for mop up duty vs portland st, the shit washington school defenders, and Byu in garbage time.

I'm a TCU alum and I'll be on Oregon State +13. That's a big line for the first game of the season IMO. I expect TCU to win, but I think it's by 10 or less.
