Why do people always bring up stats from last year? They mean nothing. Its a new season.

From the line movement UNC is the play. Still too early to make a play unless you really wanted a good number on LSU.

Poster makes a good point... that line should be -5 ish. Might be smart to wait until week two to look to bet either LSU or NC. But put a gun to my head I take LSU, I trust their physical play and defense year in and year out.

last i heard three or four unc defensive players were suspended because they were/are under investigation by ncaa for talking to agents. coach announced they would not play unless cleared before hand. i am not sure where it stands at the moment but i do remember they went 8-5 last yr. 4-4 in the acc. plust the game is a night game at lsu - my recollection is that about 90000 cajuns
at a lsu night game on national tv can get a little loud.

games at Georgia dome but yeah there will be a ton of Lsu fans there... Wr Greg little and Marvin Austin are the only two that im aware of that are in danger of missing this game. Those other defensive players are still with the first team and wont be held out. Austin and little still on the 2nd team as its doubtful NCAA will clear them in the next 10 days.

Yes NC had a better statistically defense but did they play Bama with Julio Jones, and Mark Ingram ? Did they play Florida with Tim Tebow and Demps ? Did they play Arkansas with Ryan Mallet ? Did they play a Ole Miss team with Dexter Mcluster ??

Bottom line if you knew anything about football stats would be used to a minimum. The competition LSU plays is top notch SON. The SEC is no ACC!

They might play in the SEC but you could damn near make an NFL roster with UNCs D. They will stifle LSU's offense - period. Offensively, they're set at WR and the line looks decent. The only variable here that worries me is the play of TJ Yates. But keep in mind, if he falters, freshman Bryn Renner is nipping his heels and he is a STUD. Kid has playmaker written all over him.

Be smart and go for the UNDER. This game will be tight and low scoring. GL

That's what's up for sure. If UNC is so good, then why aren't they a touchdown favorite? I mean really, let's think about that. Many preseason magazines have LSU predicted to finish 4th or 5th in the SEC West. UNC has that defense loaded with 'future NFL'ers'. I'll tell you why...LSU has great talent and more experience to go with it. From position player to position player, LSU is better and they will prove it.
