GL MF....Oregon hasn't played well at without Dixon as there is a huge dropoff. However, Bellotti is well know for his ability to develop QBs in his system so there may be some improvement. Should be a good game...Sun Bowl has always been one of my favorite bowl games!

Yeah without Dixon, Oregon just isn't the same team. He's gonna have to develop them fast since their only two options at QB, Kempt and Roper, are both freshmen. Without them even knowing who's starting, along with the fact that they're both huge question marks, I cant help but like a proven team in South Florida in this spot...

Agreed, i think USF has the defense to confuse the young Ore qbs. Unless the oregon defense can make some big plays, USF should be able to really move it offensively. not sure if Oregon can keep up....

            Good luck MF.....

Are you playing every bowl game?

I disagree with one of your favorite plays... I like Hawaii over UGA.

Agree with your analysis in that Oregon will have a difficult time moving the ball w/o Dixon. I'll probably be looking at the Ducks team total under (22.5?) more than a side in that game.

                Good luck.

I love Georgia nearly as much. When Hawaii has to overcome a 21point deficit and barely beat the bottom-dweller of the PAC-10 (really their only legitimate opponent all year), that tells me how good they really are. And that was a game in which they were out to prove their worth. They haven't faced a team nearly as fast, as physical, or as talented as Georgia all season and I think that will soon come to light. I just can't imagine that if Georgia were to play Washington that it wouldn't be anything but a lopsided affair.

I'm trying something new this year. I've put one unit on each bowl game. We'll see how it goes...

well...I disagree a little bit here. True, UW is not a great team but they had several close losses. I think they had the highest quality of close losses out of any team in the country this year. So Hawaii beating Washington wasn't exactly a walk in the park. Washington does have more talent and better athletes than Hawaii does. And the fact that Hawaii came back down 21 pts on two seperate occassions kind of tells me something. Colt Brennan's best games came against BSU and UW the two toughest opponents on the schedule.

I am more in accord with Rjt on this one...i do like Hawaii. Not sure about the SU, but I'll certainly be backing them with the points.

Well I guess i'd put Georgia in the same class as Ohio St., Oregon (with a healthy Dixon), Arizona St., and USC. The only team Washington came within 20 points of was USC when they were struggling and injury-plagued...

Washington's offense is actually quite good, so Hawaii allowing the Huskies only 7 pts. in the final 50+ min., after spotting UW 21 in the 1st Q as a result of 3 early turnovers, is no small feat.

Regardless, it's not as simple as saying that, since Hawaii struggled with a last-place UW squad, UGA will blow them out. If it was that easy, we'd all be rich. Truth is, UGA hasn't seen a team like Hawaii all year, as the SEC simply doesn't include a team like Hawaii that will spread you out with 4 and 5 WR sets and throw the ball every down. UGA's one opponent that most closely resembles Hawaii's offense is Tennesse, and Ainge gave them fits.

Many will point to Moreno and Brown and assume UGA will run the ball with ease, but I think Hawaii's run defense is significantly better than most give them credit for. Just ask Ian Johnson, who, save for a 50-yard run, mustered only 1.7 YPC on his remaining 21 carries. If Richt thinks he can simply run the ball right down Hawaii's throat, he's sadly mistaken. Stafford, whose been apt to make mistakes, is going to have to make plays through the air for the Dawgs to win this game, and Hawaii's offense is more than capable of keeping up and matching them score for score.

If UGA falls behind early they're in huge trouble. More likely is this game comes down to the wire, and I trust the ball in Brennan's hand more than I do Stafford. I think Hawaii wins this game outright.

Words from a wise man. My thoughts exactly. Just one name comes to mind when talking about the Hawaii LB's...blaze soares.. reports say hes not 100%. I researched on this guy and he plays with heart. He sobbed with anger when he had to stay back home while his team went on the road. He said he would still play even if he had only one arm. After reading stuff about them..This team IS a family oriented team. Emotions will come into play in this one. Whichever team that has the most heart..no matter which team (bottom dwellers or top 10 in the country) is in fornt of them.. will win this game. And I believe Hawaii players have more heart. This ohana thing is powerfull with them. well its just my 2 cents

UGA handled the spread offenses of Florida and Kentucky just fine. I think the Georgia D will be more capable of getting pressure on Brennan than any other opponent Hawaii has faced this year, forcing him into bad decisions. On the other side of the ball, Moreno and Brown are a bit more talented than Ian Johnson if you ask me. Not to mention, the Georgia line can move people. The point I was trying to make is that its really hard for me to give Hawaii a great deal of credit due to their cupcake schedule. And its really hard to guage how well they will play against a quality team like Georgia. I guess I just always feel that a team that has had to play tough opponents all year long is going to be better prepared for this matchup. I think Georgia is the better team on both sides of the ball but I guess we shall see...

                                    ga/fl

georgia wins by 14-20. Hawaii will score, but they can not stop the balance georgia attack. The young offensive line is much improved over the course of the season. The sugar bowl is very revered for sec teams and you can bet that georgia will be very up for this game. As monkey states, kentucky spreads you out just like hawaii and georgia played them well. Richt will have over a month to prepare for this attack. It is easier to get ready for a team that uses 4-5 reciever sets then it is to get ready for a team that uses the option formation like a navy/air-force. Georgia is much faster and much more talented team. Georgia is 3rd is the SEC in total defense and 3rd in takeaways. This defense has been nothing but getting better and better as the season goes along. The dawgs will be ready. The dawgs will most likely with a win be a preseason 1,2 or 3 next year. Everyone here in atlanta is pretty excited about playing hawaii and the players on the defensive side are looking forward to seeing colt. Also there will be a HUGE home field advantage and hawaii has never been known to be a good road team. I think in my own worthless opinion the score will be somewhere around 37-20

If Hawaii is at home i always play them if they cross the pond i almost never play them. Their a different team away from home(not as much this year as last 4 or 5 ) dose anyone have numbers for Hawaii W/L at home verses W/L away ATS last couple of years.
