WERE? Try "still is". With no Conference Championship game, and a round robin schedule, the Big 12-2 becomes the Big 2+8 for years to come. The winner of the OU-Texas shootout on the first Saturday of October wins the Big 12-2, Big 2+8, Little 10, or whatever they are going to call themselves conference. With no T.V. deal in place, the loss of one non-con game per team, the loss of two bowl games very likely, and the weak sisters of the conference like Iowa State, Kansas, and Kansas State having to play BOTH Texas and Oklahoma every year, this conference may not last past the 2012 season.Comment
