This should be a very intriguing matchup (not only because my parents are Razorback alum and my inlaws are Mizzou alum), but what a contrast in styles this will be.
One of my favorite bowl matchups.

I don't think that Missiour can stop the Arkansas running game.

I think Arky rolls on a disappointed and not-wanting-to-be-there Missou team.

Missouri is disapointent, but they will not forget how to move the football. This is going to be very interesting watching McFadden and Jones run all over the field against that horrible run defense missouri possess. But Chase Daniel is going to pick apart Arkansas Defense all day long. If missouri can score in the Red Zone, then they should be able to out score arkansas in this one. This is going down to the wire. 35 - 34 could go either way

No need to handicap this one, SEC Bowl underdogs are an automatic bet for me.

I like Arkansas and the points here McFadden should have a big game here, Missouri cannot stop the run as they showed vs. OU.

This is an interesting matchup, sa baba noted, since it's not a bad drive for most fans of either school. I'm afraid Missouri could be a bit down after the Big 12 title loss and not getting a BCS bid. Hogs and the points is how I'm leaning right now.

LT, I noticed this same post in another thread. Wondering if you have any data going back a couple years for this. I could look up past results, so don't go to a lot of trouble.
Last year you must have loved KY getting about 10 and winning SU vs Clemson - and of course Fla. It hard to imagine/remember that Fla was actually a dog last year.

I actually thought that SEC dogs were better than 17-10 ATS, but hey, that's still 63%.

Over 69.5 and I may place a small wager on Arkansas on the money line.

Nutt is gone and that scumbag Petrino is in place after the game. I hope Arkansas loses large, but Mizzu is still smarting after that loss to OU.
No need taking the points in a game which figures to be high scoring.

Yeah, this game is for all the true gamers who can smell blood like a shark. If my memory serves me correctly, this is a rematch of them playing in a bowl in 2003. Arkansas was like a -2 favorite back then and won the game 27-14. All of America knows Mizzou is the "feel sorry for" team left out of the BCS patry and they will use this News Years day venue to prove they belong. Dont forget Arkansas last game was a victory over the #1 team in the country at the time that is magically playing for the National Title game (Thanks goodness for conference championship games!). But as of now, Arkansas is living a soap opera or rather athletic "reality TV". Nutt resigned on them and I like the way the man went out...got him a another gig at another SEC school turning down Arkansas contract extension. Arkansas stole new head ball coach Bobby Petrino from the Atlanta Falcons "in the cover of darkness" on a Mayflower Truck hours after a primetime Monday Night Football Game loss and Petrino was later live on ESPN doing the pig "seweey" hawg chant. The man left the Falcons football players goodbye notes on their lockers for crying out loud...could not face them man to man to say goodbye. Now this man is the head coach of Arkansas?? Mizzou has edges on both offense and defense. Mizzou does have the run "D" stout enough to stop McFadden with 4 weeks to game plan him. Mizzou QB Daniels does still remember seeing all those ESPN highlights and game tape of South Carolina, Alabama and Kentucky shredding the Arkansas pass D all putting up over 35 points. This is one of my biggest bowl plays as I really forecast Mizzou to roll and covering the 3.5 wont be a problem at all.

Ok, you think about what petrino did to the Falcons, but do you know that when the Falcons signed petrino he was promised FULL control over his players and they traded players when he wanted them to stay. Rich Rodriguez is the new machigan head coach and he left WV with a big bowl game to play and ESPN calls it the best recruit of the session.
petrino leaves a team with meaniless games left in the session
for ARK. you know what his college record is? 31-9 over all.
which was the better catch? you tell me!

Did Arkansas show up? Missouri put it on them from the start
