You are probably right because LSU will smoke OSU just like Florida did last year. The SEC is by far a better conference than the Big Ten.

I don't know what to make of West Virginia right now. They looked like the best team in the country in recent weeks, which makes that loss to Pitt simply unbelievable.

If the Moutaineers play to their best level, +6.5 is not terrible, although 7.5 would be better.

I live in Phoenix. This game SUCKS!! Oklahoma was here last year. I hate The Fiesta Bowl commitee. West Virginia lost to Pitt for gosh sake. What a joke this BCS game is. The Big East suks too. Who in tarnation thought to give that conference a free ride to a BCS bowl??

I'm thinking lower scoring for some reason, guess I expect West Va's defense to step it up for this one. Just like the Under right now, 65 if you can get it.

I see this one goin back n forth both of there conf's were way down this year and from watchn these teams on film i dont believe either is a solid top 5. I no this want be popular but if i had to pick today i'd take WV outright......and just try to ignore the implosion against pitt

I forecast things like this on this one...OU is off a feel good win securing another BIG IX title. When you look at WVU, you see a team on the sidelines trying to get re-focused with an interim coach because of the departure of Rodriguiez to Michigan. All of this drama going on AFTER the devestating rivalry loss that knocked them from the national title game! When you then take a look again at the Sooners sidelines, you see a defense loaded with all conference and all american players who have the speed to contain the White/Slaton rushing attack. Oklahoma will be a refocused squad in THIS years Fiesta Bowl after losing to the Smurf Turfs last year. I think Oklahoma could win this game by 10 so I'm all over the current spread giving up 7.5.

Big east won all of its bowls last year...Last two trips to BCS games were victories for Big East teams...Big East is 1-0 so far this year in bowls.. I understand the concern over this game and am definately worried a bit myself, but dont knock the whole conference without doing your research bud.

Well, I do have a little research to back my opinion...Oklahoma is 18-2-1 (5-2 ATS) vs. teams from the Big East. WV is 9-8 (4-2 ATS) vs teams from the Big 12. WV is making it's first bowl trip to the Fiesta bowl since the 1988 National Championship game (34-21 loss to ND and Lou Holtz) and are in their 6th straight bowl (2-3 SU & 1-4 ATS). Oklahoma will make thier 2nd straight Fiesta Bowl apperance losing here last year to Boise on the much talked about embarrasing Statue of Liberty 2 point conversion. Yes, WV will be well represented in this game as y'all sold your allotment of tickets, but OU travels well too. Just think WV is in a terribly bad spot with all the recent distractions and disappointing loss to Pitt and Oklahoma has a chance to erase most of the wounds with a replay of last years Fiesta Bowl meltdown. OU wins in double digits.

You have some good points...I wasnt getting personal I take this team seriously obviously and find myself defending the conference over and over... I think the current spread is right where it should be. However, the intangibles of Pat White, S Slaton, and Noel Devine could lead to a close victory...

OK, i have no idea how to bet this, except maybe a small play on the under...but i can't beleive someone would say that these conferences were in a "down" year...do you pay attention to football? The Big East, maybe, but the Big 12 has two BCS teams, one that got completely snubbed, one of the best offenses in the country in TTU...even freakin' Colorado made a bowl!!...Texas was the fifth best team in the conference!...the Big XII is sick!!!...my rant is over

West Virginia's defense improved dramatically this season. They are still weak in this spot against a big-time team, but I think this will be a close game.

Like the fave here as well. I believe Oklahoma is the best team at the country at the moment, followed closely by UGA and USC, and I look for the Sooners to match the impressive bowl efforts of those two teams.

The only weakness on the entire team is in the pass defense (and that's a minor weakness), and White really hasn't proven capable of exploiting that. Actually, I would like WVU's chances of covering better if Jarrett Brown was starting.

Slaton has had such a bad year he might not even enter the NFL Draft, and he's not going to get anything against OU's front 7. The Sooners haven't really dealt with a QB like White, but with his lingering injuries, I don't believe he can run wild either.

Stoops and company will surely be anxious to redeem last year's loss in this same game, and I just don't think WVU's interim staff has a prayer of matching his adjustments.

Lean to under also, as WVU's defense isn't nearly as bad as in years past, but it's only a lean because something like 45-21 wouldn't surprise me a bit.
