It is official. Utah has become the 12th member of the Pac 10. This is great news for the Utes, who actually worked their way into this position, their fans, and the Pac 10. A big "thank you" goes out to Urban Meyer, the man who put Utah on the map to begin with.

MWC in one week passed from next BCS conference to a weaker one. Courtesy of UT. Don't mess with Texas!

Texas is too chicken s**t to mess with anyone. Look at that conference. The new Little 10 made up of two very good teams and 8 patsies. Look at their non-con schedule for the next 3 years. No wonder Texas does not want more than 10 teams in the Little 10. Their schedule is so weak that one loss knockes them out of the BCS Championship game. Why risk a loss in a Conference Championship game where they would just play OU again. Their schedule is actually weaker than Boise State's schedule this year, and will get weaker next year.

I'm interested to see how Utah will stack up with the Pac-10. I know they have a winning record against them but it should be fun to watch in a couple of years to see how utah will do now that they have a chance for an automatic bid to a BCS game.

I think their best chance will be in 2011. USC will still be on probation. Oregon loses 6 starters on offense and 6 on defense. Oregon State loses the Rodgers and most of their defensive line. Washington loses Locker. Other Pac 10 teams take similar hits. Utah only loses 8 starters, and keeps their QB. They are also the new kid on the block, so the existing Pac 10 teams will not have much to go on, scouting wise. 2011 may be a great time for Utha to show their stuff, especially if they get a break in the schedule.

The Big 12 is DEAD. They will play as a 10 team conference for a couple of years and disband. Arkansas has absolutely no interest in leaving the SEC, nor should they. It is by far, the best conference around. BYU is not wanted because of their Religious stance about no Sunday Playing, and other stances viewed as radical by some. That leaves TCU and Houston, and that leaves a Big 12 North with Oklahoma winning that division EVERY YEAR. That, in itself, destroys the Big 12. They are a conference that has no place to expand except in Texas. They are doomed.

Utah will be able to play for a national championship now perhaps.

ok this is a side topic but concerning BYU......since they are such a conservative Ill say "religious" school, what is a tailgate party like at BYU? Do they even enjoy a couple cold beers or is that completely looked down upon by all of the BYU faithful. I know it has nothing to do with any of this but while reading this thread I started to wonder what a BYU tailgate party would be like. Im not knocking them if they dont just curious.

Mormons don't drink alcohol. I'm sure there are a few exceptions who do but they prohibit alcohol consumption.
