Nebraska on verge of going to Big 10..Being a Colorado fan, i have a bad feeling about this..I think all the Texas schools and OU go to pac 10 and kansas, kansas st and colorado go to mtn west..
What you think?

I can not believe this.
I heard about it all week, just seems too weird.
Nebraska vs. OSU for the Big Ten title...haven't seen that much red since the 1940's.

I going to odd, but talk is that the Big 12 will essentially disintegrate .. wonder if the BCS will add another conference or just snicker and pile more cash to less conferences. ..

nothing will change in the schedules for this fall, perhaps next year, this fall is here too soon to change the schedule

The Pac 16, or what ever it will be called, will play it's first season in 2012. That will be the deadline for all of the other conferences to expand to 16 teams. The Pac 10 once again leads the way. Colorado is going to the Pac 10, so Buffalo fans, do not worry. The Big question is what does the Big 10 and SEC do? The Big 10 now has 12 teams, but the Pac 10 has 4 uped them. Does the Big 10 grab Missouri, two Big East teams and leave the door open for Notre Dame to join, or do they settle for 12 teams and playing 2nd best behind the Pac 10? The SEC and ACC have the same questions to answer.
If the SEC decides to expand, they will raid the ACC and probably take natural rivals Clemson (South Carolina), Ga. Tech (Georgia) and Florida State and Miami (Florida). This forces the ACC to raid the Big East, taking the 5 or 6 teams leftover when the Big 10 is through with them, or simply merging with the Big East to form a 16 team conference if the Big 10 stops at 12 teams. If the Big 10 does take additional Big East teams, the ACC can grab the remaining Big East teams, plus UCF, and maybe Memphis, who has a strong hoops program, or a Temple, who would fit nicely in an ACC "North" division.
Next is the question of what happens to the remaining Big 12 teams. Well, Baylor should go to the conference they really belong in, that being the CUSA. They can join Rice, SMU and Houston. The other three (the two Kansas teams and Iowa State) would probably join an expanding MWC team. The MWC has 9 teams now, and are actively dancing with Boise State. With the addition of the three Big 12 teams, plus three WAC teams such as Nevada, Fresno State, and Idaho (in addition to Boise State), the MWC becomes the 5th BCS Conference, and takes over hosting the Fiesta Bowl, which will be vacated by the defunct Big 12 conference.

Notre Dame to Big 10 shortly?
Will Notre Dame look at going to Big 10 soon, or will they just sit and leech off that NBC TV contract and hope for a BCS bowl game in the next year or two?

i heard that the big ten schools actually get something like 13 million more a year from big-10 network than ND does from nbc, obviously ND isnt hurting for money though and being independent gives them a pretty easy road to a bcs game plus they think there special and being independent is part or there perceived specialness

The reason the Big 10 went to the Big 12 teams is because Notre Dame has no intention of changing where theyre at. Nebraska it is, not ND

If with religion you mean belief system, your belief system is your religion. Again, it matters not what it is. You believe in it, you are loyal to it, would defend it, and yet have no proof of it, other than that, at one point or another, you chose to believe in it. Self-hypnosis. What if there were a snapping of fingers that broke the hypnosis?

The Huskers have a bad taste from the Big 12 championship game. They will leave. The wildcard is Notre Dame. I can't wait for NU to destroy the Hawkeyes every year.
