#38Looking forward to a Tebowless season. Kid was a great college player and certainly served his purpose while here but it is time to move on. Our passing game should definately improve, ofcourse the defenses will be more apt to attack and not have to worry as much about as many run options.Comment -

#39Dude, Saban and co are gonna eat these boys lunch in September. I have a good friend who is a HUGE PSU fan and he keeps up with all their off season stuff and supposedly the QB position at PSU is so weak they will have no option but to run. Can you imagine our new young defensive guys who are lightning fast just tearing them up all day long. I think its gonna be a route. As a matter of fact, this will probably be Ingram and Richardson's first game of this season where they both go for over 100 each. Hopefully its also Julio's coming out party. Dareus and Hightower and the rest of our young guys are gonna eat them alive.Originally posted by rwsmithRun oriented sounds good...No matter how good they can run the ball i like the chances of stopping their run...Your right 1-dimensional will be crap or this fast defense
Come on!

#46If you went to State and hate the team who do you pull for? I used to drive over to the Bama/Miss line not far from Starkeville to get alcohol on sundays and it seemed like I would see more Bama stuff than I would Miss State stuff.Originally posted by pinnacle212I went to Mississippi State. #47I hear you man, I live for the pigskin. Everything else is just filler until the next football season rolls around.Originally posted by wal66It's starting to itch a little. Months of waiting, killing time and wasting a few dollars here and there wagering on the occassional game that you just had a hunch about. All that is close to an end though. The season of the Gambling Gods is fast approaching and I for one can not wait.

#53Spent most of the day yesterday conversing with a poster who PM'd me a question. Regardless of how many questions he PM's and no matter how many ways I explained them it strangely didn't get annoying. Why? Cause we were talking about the one sport I handicap that I truly have a passion for.
In one of the threads a poster made a comment about why he didn't care for college sports as opposed to pro. While he obviously has every right to his opinion and I would never deny anyone of it, I couldn't help but to try and enlighten.
While some college athletes are playing at this level merely because the rules state they have to wait to move up and are basically just auditioning for the pro's, most realize the reality that they will never play at the next level. Playing for a paycheck, advertising endorsments and contract bonuses is great but it will never compare to playing for pride, loyalty and the shear love of the game.Comment -

#54Amen brother, It cant get here soon enough. Only 1 Bama game on my radar so far and that is the UF game but I will probably have to venture up for a few more. I will also be at the "worlds largest cocktail party". I just love walking into the stadiums and hearing the bands. It gives me goose bumps everytime, whether it is Bryant Denny or "The Swamp" I love being in those stadiums.Originally posted by wal66Spent most of the day yesterday conversing with a poster who PM'd me a question. #55The difference between two alleged capping sites is amazing. Wal posts basically the exact same thread in here and in another alleged "capping" site. In here, he gets two pages of responses and growing. In the other alleged capping site, he gets two responses, period. No discussion about up coming games. Just two posts about how the two posters are looking forward to the season.
Wal, I guess there really is a world of difference between sites that have cappers who are really knowledgeable, and sites that like to think they have such cappers. Great job guys. Let's keep it up.Comment -

#61QH, that has always been the case at the other site. During the season I mirrow my college threads at both sites and I always get more interaction here which is why I became more active here in the first place. I added a couple more sites last year and the same holds true, SBR is always more active, more curious, more helpfull. Other places view SBR interacts.
I like the interaction obviously. I mean it tells us we are part of something. The dialog for or against is a good thing, it clues us in as to what others are thinking, what we might have overlooked and simply lets us know we are a part of something.
