That's absolutely pathetic. Their offense has been built up by playing possibly the worst combination of defenses of any team. Bad news for me? Okie State's D is ranked 102.
Kansas has the 7th rated defense. Here are the offensive ranks for their opponents:
So, the Kansas defense is more "real" than the Kansas offense. The Jayhawk D has played 4 solid offenses. In those 4 games, they allowed, on average, 20.7, with 2 of the teams being MAC teams. Oklahoma State has the 8th best offense in the country, so I fully expect Okie State to put up 30.
If Okie State wants to win this game, they'll milk the play clock on offense for every second it's worth, and then run run run. Keep their awful defense off the field.
Will Kansas win? Most likely. Will they cover? Maybe. It could be a close win and they could cover.

Perfect situation for Ok. St backers in this one:
Last week we had OkSU giving up 24 unanswered 4th quarter points and missing a potential game winning chip-shot FG in the 4th quarter to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. In all reality, that game should have been a dd win for Oklahoma State but they got conservative on offense, forgot how to play defense and special teams, and generally melted down. On that same day, we had Kansas hanging 76 on what is quite possibly the worst Nebraska team of the Big XII era.
I'm not saying that Kansas won't win and I'm not saying they won;t cover, but I do feel that last week's results couldn't have possibly set the game up for such a meaty line as Kansas -6. And you guys do realize that this game is being played in Stillwater, right? On national TV? After OkSU blew a 21 point 4th quarter lead at Stillwater to hated Texas the previous week? I'll make a nice play on OkSU and if I lose, I lose... That said, I like OkSt enough to make a play on them at home, looking for a big rallying victory for their fans; something positive to take away from a largely disappointing season.

I'm with ya Shark and if/when KU wins out, and I do think it's more than possible, I will lay money as well that they will play for the BCS Title. In my opinion they would deserve to. They are for real and will cover against Ok St. No matter what's said, you are on the $$ silver and they ARE 8-0 ATS, oops fast forward to late Sat 9-0. Roll JayHawks Roll

Kansas has a team that can effect payback for years of pounding by the likes of Nebraska, and OSU should put up a decent effort if it can figure out how to hold a lead in the second half.

I think this spread should be something like Kansas -3.5. I know OSU has no D, but I think the line was effected by the 4th quarter loss last week. It was pathetic, but I think they will come out strong and put up some points. OSU is the best offense KU has faced this year.

I just don't get the Okie State backers on this one? All Kansas has done is go 9-0 (8-0 ATS) and they're playing with extreme confidence in all phases of the game! Okie State is a potential trap game to be sure but they could just as easily have a Texas letdown! Aren't there softer games to pick? I will admit that this is the first KU game in a while that I'm passing on!

I agree Mr. I just don't see it either and if I were playin would have to jump all over KU, again. They simply pay pay pay and each week I actually feel I should call the coach and send him a fruit basket. I believe they are playin great ball right now and know exactly what is in front of them. That being said, I think many factors contribute to why many think they won't cover this week, most notably is their ability to play it close with 4 teams this year
TT - Win 49-45
@ A&M - L 23-24
K St - Win 41-39
Texas - L 35-38
So erase Troy and the season opener @ Georgia and this team is 4 points from a 9-0 v 9-0 matchup. I may make a late on the Over but I'm not seeing a total yet. I have a feeling it will open nearing 70 and that scares me but no matter what it is I think the Over will be the way to go. GL to ya

KU has played nobody. I mean nobody!!!!!! Maybe there good but we dont really know. Top in the country I doubt it. This should be a test for them. I personally think MU will eventually put KU in their place. Personally I think MU wins out and has a shot at the national champship. Whether it be MU or KU if either team wins out they should get a shot at the title.

I'm sorry but there is absolutely no way they play for the National title. I would love to see it, I really would. But the fact of the matter is even if they win out, they are not going to get that #2 ranking over LSU... or Oregon for that matter. While I agree that the system is flawed and Kansas deserves a shot in this scenario, its just not going to happen
beyond that, Kansas will not win out. I love this Missouri team. They have come through for me big and I will be all over them when they play, especially if Kansas is favored. Then, assuming the Jayhawks win, they will probably get Oklahoma in the Big 12 championship. I like Oklahoma in that one as well.
No matter which angle you look at this from, the chances are next to nothing that Kansas will play for the title. LSU and Oregon have to lose and Kansas has to beat two top 10 teams, and they have not beaten a ranked opponent all year long!!! Who have they beaten this year? I'll give you A&M at home... and they aren't even ranked. They might even have trouble with the Cowboys this Saturday (though I do believe they will pull it out)
shark, BIG GUY, you're wrong on this one
When Ku beats Missouri and Oklahoma they will jump ahead of oregon and LSU.. i mean it's not like they will have beaten 2 of the top 6 teams in the country or anything... and especially since LSU should have another loss after that soar a** performance last week against Alabama... they got outplayed the whole game.. So i'm with Shark on this one.. Big money on KU to cover this week at Ok State..

So, it sounds like the better play on this game might be the Over. Based on VolinArizona's great info the offense for Kansas isn't necessarily for real but once again they are playing a crappy defense. You add that with OkSt's strong offense and you have a shoot out (even if it is at 66.5 right now).

Seven times out of ten with this kind of matchup and this kind of line I'm on the home dog. Not today. I'm very familiar with both teams, and just think the Jayhawks are too tough in the trenches and run the ball at will tonight. Kansas wins by a couple of touches. GL...
