last week i got tricked into thinking maryland had value at home against clemson . this week another game has jumped off the board to slap me across the face like, "hey dummy, why wouldn't you take the head ballcoach and the points at arkansas?"
yeah, arkansas has done pretty well...against j.v. squads! s.c. has been to georgia, lsu and lost last week barely at tennessee (one of the biggest home crowds in the country), not to mention chapel hill! (hee hee)
gamecocks have been competetive against all and folded to none. am i supposed to be impressed because arkansas beat chattanooga by 19 pts?
well if this was last week i would have said dial me up a double dip of blake smelly or whatever but mama taught me to learn from my mystakes so make mine a razorback at -4.5, i guess. I'm sorry but houston nutt might be the worst coach ever. small play .

I like the gamecocks on the money line. The razorbacks beat USC last year in a tight game where the hogs had a lot to play for. They were playing towards and sec championship and a bcs bowl game. This year, the hogs dont have much to play for and have not played up to the level they are capable of. They rushed for around 250 yards last year and the gamecocks only lost by 6 (after blake mitchell threw an interception late in the 4th). To me, that says the gamecocks still have a good shot at winning, even if arkansas can run the ball all over the field.

That being said, Blake stepped up last week in Tennessee and put usc in the position to win in knoxville (after being down 21-0). USC's defense has had the "bend but dont break mentality" and has been great on third down this year. It seems they only give up points when the offense puts them in bad field position. USC still has a shot to win the sec east (with a little help) and has more to play for.

I know its not concrete analysis, but the buzz around the gamecock country is that we have a good chance to win this game and i know a few hog fans are biting their nails. The few i have heard from are not sure about their defense stopping a blake mitchell come back.

Ive got a parlay with va tech and usc on the moneyline. So far so good.

thanks for the feedback sec fan. i actually went to school with rick flair's son (plymouth state) many years ago and i didn't recognize the nature boy the last time you posted. great picture. this just seemed like the line was off. i didn't so much feel that usc was awesome but that when i've seen arkansas play they have been pretty unimpressive (but then again auburn will make most teams look bad)!
you were not able to back me down last week so i think tomorrow i'm going to pass on this one and hope you hit your parlay. maybe you could tell me because i don't know, but what is the payout for a 2 team ml parlay? maybe i will try rutgers and ok. state. best of luck to you boss!

Manny, PASS on this one. I am a die hard hog fan. My two favorite bets on the board this week are ones that I cannot bet. I love the SC Moneyline and the Pats but I would be selli9ng my soul if I bet against their opponents.

I also like the honesty of the hog fans. But dont think of it as selling your soul, just making money. If you bet on the cocks ml, you have a good chance of making some money. Then you spend that money to drink away your hog loss. If the hogs win, youre happy but just a little lighter on the bankroll. I dont want to call it a win win situation, but if you think your team is going to lose, you might as well make a little money.

Well, I wasnt completely wrong. Blake kept us in the game. And I knew they would be able to run the ball. But 500+ rushing yards??!!.....I thought our defense was better than that. F'in terrible. I believe I saw Mcfadden run by my house last night.
