Florida St's defense is very good. BC has had an easy schedule.

Florida St is hard team to figure out because they have tons of talent. They can play against any team in the nation and win on a good day.

it's tighten up time. fsu has great athletes, terrible coaching but this game is bigger than a bowl game for them and even with 2 really bad qb's they should get the cover here. seminoles are under acheivers that have no expectations on them so they will probably play very well. having no originality on offense makes fsu so predictable but the defense is predictably good as well.
hate to take against any team from new england right now but i like florida state in this spot. basically the 6 pts. lets x. lee throw that pick-6 at any point in the game and all they have to do is block the xtra point to stay even. bc wouldn't dare go for 2 would they?

Virginia Tech is a better football team than FSU, I love BC -6 at home. They will come out firing next week. The one thing everyone seems to be overlooking is the BC defense. They will lock down FSU for sure. I see at 27-13 win here.

Don't know about you guys but this looks like a TOUGH Saturday. On first and second combover of the schedule, no spreads are jumping out at me.

This is absolutely one of the plays of the weekend in my opinion! Being a very big FSU backer, I have to say that we never come to play on the road! I don't know if any of you remember that stellar Thursday night showing that we had a couple weeks ago @ Wake!? Weatherford always looks like shvt on the road and if they bring in X-Lee it will be ever more of a disaster! I saw this line and couldn't really believe it... Yeah, the D is good and pretty solid, but I see BC winning this one by DD easily!

I like Boston College here also, Florida State doesn't do well on the road and if it is bad weather I will really like BC. Them Florida teams don't do well in cold places.

X Lee suspended for next 2 games, so it's solely on Wheatherford's shoulders.
When the weather let up during the 2H vs VT, BC's SQB Ryan(07 Davey O'Brien semi-finalist) ate up their D in cruch time. Could be VT's D was tired by then as the O is terrible. Is FSU's O better than VT's ? They had no Off TD till 3Q vs Duke LW ending a 5Q streak w/out one.
My only problem is why is BC just -6? Aren't they the #2 in the country vs a non-ranked opp?
BC seems to be the play. Ryan has thrown 19 Ptds and 500 more yds to 5 PTD's for Wheatherford TY.
BC's PDef #100(261 pyds) in yds, but only 9 PTD's allowed vs FSU's #47(213 pyds) and 12 PTD's.
Neither team runs that well and both D's very good vs rush.
As far as SOS, Sag has BC: #38 71.18 and FSU: #21 73.52. Close.
Seems as though it comes down to who're you going to put your money on, Ryan or Wheatherford?

I've been thinking about this game for a few weeks. I think BC is not a Top-5 team and they are ready to get picked off. Florida State has played well the past couple of years when an underdog, and awful as a favorite.

Look at the last two bowl games. Everyone said Bowden would get drilled by Penn St. and UCLA and they covered both easily and almost won both games outright.

I'll take FSU +6, but would feel better with 7.

Bowden doesn't have a month to prepare for this game as he does for bowls, but FSU has avg at least 21 pts the L5 g and BC has topped 30 only vs BG and Army in the L6 g.

feels like a line trap.maybe bad weather. ugly game. bc kicker sucks and i think that will factor into BC having to go for it on 4th down more often than they should. certain factors point to a close game with minimal offensive output. take the points or stay away. i'm staying away.

Exteneded forecast calls for a sunny day with a high around 54 ... 8pm game translates to mid 40s which isn't terribly cold for a football game but certainly favors BC over a Fla. team ... BCs kicker is pretty good ... BC is 5-2 ATS this year but have a long history of playing close games ... I'm still giving the points on this one.

Skank ... This game is far from the "lock" of the week ... I'm expecting a fairly close game with BC prevailing and covering the points.
