Like lots of games this week..

(Stanford is still the worst team in the Pac-10)

2* Boston College -12

(ND is still garbage and this is the best team they have played so far this season. Ryan has his way. BC wins easy)

1* Cal -14 (+102)
0.5* Cal -13.5
0.5* Cal -14 (-110)

(OSU uncomfortable away from Corvallis. Cal is now ranked #2 and that will inspire them to kill OSU. Huge coaching edge as well Tedford is way better coach then idiot Riley)

1.5* Wisconsin +7 (-120)

(Too many points here. Close game written all over it. I don't respect PSU as much as others do.)

1* Illinois -2.5
0.5* Illinois -3

(Illinois is a much better team than Iowa. Just can't see Iowa matching Illini pointwise. Zook has them boys inspired. Mendenhall should be the difference here)

( I think SDST is a lot better than people give them credit for. I'm not sold on Utah quite yet, they go from being 14pt dogs to 14pt favs in one week)

nice job on TCU...it was a game I really liked and the line was creeping down and then all of a sudden went up like crazy. In fact, I don't even remember it hitting -5...just from -4 to -6while i was gone.

I may make a small play on SJST myself......i think that is the right side.

Not sure what to say about FSU. They are clearly more talented and with Xavier Lee they seem to have found their stride offensively. But WF seems to relish the role of underdog and these primetime games seem to go the way of the dog more times than not. Good luck with that game.

I understand. I think a lot of FSU backers will point to the 30-0 home loss last year...trust me I remember I bet FSU -6 and it closed -9 too as all the money poured in on them. That was a special WF team and you can bet FSU has that fresh on their mind.

However, these primetime games on Thursday are just difficult for me to even consider betting a favorite let alone betting one. In fact, WF falls into a very very strong system for Thursday night games:

Play On - A home team (WAKE FOREST) - after 2 or more consecutive straight up wins, when playing on a Thursday. (40-13 ATS over the last 10 seasons).

Not sure if that is a trend I would be interested in stepping up against.....throw in the fact that WF is the dog in this situation (that trend says nothing about fav or dog) and the fact that WF is a very strong dog team...i have a hard time seeing how this situation with revenge for FSU can overcome that system play.

I strongly disagree with your characterization of the UW football team. Wisconsin is not a decent team at all and are looking at 4 Big Ten losses. In fact, Penn State falls into some very strong systems that play against struggling defensive teams like UW and also some sytems that play on strong home defensive units (like PSU's). I was going to take PSU but the line has crept up too much now and have enough money tied up this weekend. But certainly PSU would be a strong play I would consider (along with Buffalo and UNLV) this weekend.

It's almost like you guys haven't even watched Wisconsin play this year????? UW win outright? They are the most overrated team in the country...or the worst team that is ranked. What has UW shown you that makes you think they can win this game on the road? UW is extraordinarily overrated and as of now, public opinion has yet to catch on. By next week, PSU will be ranked, and UW will be out of the rankings.

Anyway, the line has been rising on PSU despite the fact that nearly 7 out of every 10 bets are on UW ATS which is a horrible sign since generally betting publics back favorites at extraordinary rates and not the other way around where they back the underdog. UW falls into some miserable play against systems this week. I'll share some:

Play Against - Road underdogs (WISCONSIN) - after allowing 17 points or more in the first half in 2 straight games against opponent after a win by 17 or more points. (42-12 over the last 5 seasons.) (77.8%, +28.8 units. Rating = 4*)

Play Against - A road team (WISCONSIN) - after allowing 5.5 or more rushing yards/attempt in 2 straight games. (78-37 over the last 10 seasons.) (67.8%, +37.3 units. Rating = 3*)

Play Against - A road team (WISCONSIN) - after allowing 17 points or more in the first half in 2 straight games against opponent after a win by 17 or more points. (45-14 over the last 5 seasons.) (76.3%, +29.6 units. Rating = 3*)

Play On - Home favorites (PENN ST) - after allowing 225 or less total yards in their previous game against opponent after gaining 475 or more total yards in their previous game.
(66-29 since 1992.) (69.5%, +34.1 units. Rating = 3*)

Play On - A home team (PENN ST) - with an excellent rushing D - allowing 2.75 or less rushing yds/carry, after outrushing opponent by 200 or more yards last game. (79-41 since 1992.) (65.8%, +33.9 units. Rating = 2*)

There is not a single system I have that is showing UW as a play....some trends yes, but not a single system play. Sure, maybe they cover the spread but I would be shocked if they won this game.

Wisconsin is a very solid team. Overrated why? Because they have not blow anybody out. They haven't been blown out either. They could very easily be undefeated. 7 points is way too many in my opinion.
