West Virginia -3 -115
The Mountaineers let the last game slip away, just as they did opening night against V-Tech. They could easily be undefeated right now and I think they rebound in a big way this Saturday. Both defenses in this contest are suspect, but I'd say W. Virginia's is the better of the two and I'll take Grier over Shimonek. Plus, I get home field against a team hitting the road for the 2nd consecutive week and one that got undressed last year in this same contest, and that was with Mahomes under center.
Georgia Tech +7 -118
I bought a half point here but it wasn't too costly because +6.5 was -105. Anyways, I haven't been overly impressed with Miami. They're a good team, but nothing special and I think they lost the one guy on their offense who WAS special in RB Mark Walton. Plus, they're coming down from that big, emotional win over rival FSU (which isn't all that impressive considering) and Tech is coming off of a bye.
Paul Johnson will want this win badly, probably have a few tricks up his sleeve, and let's face it, the Yellowjacket triple offense is tough to prepare for in one week, especially on the heels of a Florida State. I also think Tech's defense is better than it's been in recent years. I just see GT wanting this game more and playing like it.
