Actually, Ohio State has a very good chance to get in the NC game. I don't know where you are getting the whole choke thing. . They almost beat the heavily favored Texas Longhorns in the fiesta bowl in the 08/09 season and they won the rose bowl last year.

Ohio State loses to Iowa in Iowa City. So say good-bye to their Championship game chances. Ohio State has a good team, that may or may not beat other good teams. They lost to USC twice, and last year, USC was not that good. They lost to Purdue last year, and Purdue did not even go to a bowl game. Ohio State does not have what it takes to go undefeated. Boise State has a much better chance of being the only undefeated team in the BCS Championship, against some one loss team, probably Alabama. Then there is the TCU problem. They host Baylor and travel to SMU and play the usual MWC opponents, traveling to Utah this season but hosting Air Force and BYU. They also still have two open dates on their schedule. Depending on who they schedule, it is quite possible that they go undefeated. Does the BCS dare put two non-BCS teams in the BCS Championship game? There is a realy possibility that both Boise State and TCU will be the only undefeated teams on December 5th. The BCS can not take one without taking the other.

First comparing USC loss two years to USC loss last year, then to purdue loss, then to this year schedule is a rookie mistake. TP was 6months out of highschool the first time he played USC. Its called a learning curve, you should know this. With all these "informative" threads you make, im disappointed you couldn't do better or recognize what is right in front you. Best chance any opponent on OSU schedule has is TP getting injured.

You are obviously an Ohio State Homer. What was TP's excuse last year against USC? What was TP's excuse against a very poor Purdue team that did not even go to a bowl game? A Purdue team that gave up 31 points to mighty Toledo, at home? What was the defenses excuse for giving up 26 points to Purdue? What was the entire teams excuse for a 3 point win, at home, against Iowa, minus their starting QB? Ohio State simply does not have the players, the HC, nor the chemistry to be a great team. Tressell finally wins a BCS Bowl game against a very over-rated three loss Oregon team and you think that it is the greatest victory ever.

Look at the Ohio State schedule. Typical patsy Ohio State schedule. 8 home games. Clearly they are afraid to schedule away games. Look when they play Iowa, in Iowa City. That game is sandwiched in between home games against Penn State, who may not be as good as they were in previous seasons, but is always dangerous in a dog's role, and Michigan, Ohio State's arch rival. They also travel to Wisconsin, who does not do much except win football games. And you expect these clowns from Columbus to win BOTH of those away games? I would love to be your bookie. If you think that Ohio State is that good, would you like to wager some points? Obviously you think that they are the best team in the nation, so why don't we make a little wager? I would suggest wagering money, but you could not afford me.

see thats the problem, with most gamblers and posters here, they cant step back and analyze without bringing their heart into. This has nothing to do with OSU being the best team in the country. If you would read through your own nonsense once in awhile you might realize this.

National champions game DO NOT pit the two best teams in the country against eachother. It is 1 vs 2. Therefore, OSU and BOISE have a GREAT chance at meeting in the final game. Assuming they win, which boise and OSU have very favorable schedule, if you would look.

And as far as wagering goes, i have no interest in taking money from you unless you want to give me +10000 that Boise and OSU will meet in the NC, in that case ill gladly take the action.

and ill be the first to admit my buckeyes have choked but that has nothing to do with getting them to the national championship. So unless you believe Bama or Fl can make it out undefeated this year, which I personally do not, than its highly likely the championship game will include 2 of these 3 teams. OSU, Boise, and Texas. And im also not buying what tx is selling with this new QB.

You will admit that the ONLY way Ohio State gets into the NC Game is by going undefeated, right? They certainly could not do it with one loss, unless there is only one other 1 loss team from the Big 12, Pac 10, and SEC. All of those conferences would get the nod over a 1 loss Big 10 team. Oh yea. Do not forget Notre Dame, who really plays a patsy schedule this year (USC being their only likely loss).

Now Boise State and/or TCU are dead with one loss. But the truth of the matter is that those two teams have a much better chance of going undefeated than Ohio State does. Like I said, I'll be glad to lay a few points that Ohio State not only does not make the BCS Championship game, they do not play in the Rose Bowl either. I think that Ohio State loses to Iowa. I am hoping not, but you are talking about big time revenge for Iowa, and if Ferentz fails to get to the BCS Championship game or the Rose Bowl game this year, he will finally be unmasked. I just do not see how people think he is such a great HC, when he never won a Big 10 Championship outright. It is very difficult for Ohio State to go to the BCS Championship game with a loss, and I think that they lose one away game, and may lose to Miami if they are caught sleeping like they were against USC last year.

One other thing. Why did Ohio State choke against Purdue? I will excuse the USC loss because Pete Carroll could outcoach Tressell in his sleep. Why the loss to Illinois in 2007? You know, sometimes, coaches just lose it. They get stuck in a rut. Look at Bob Stoops. Look at Pete Carroll. All had successes early on, but could not duplicate them as their coaching careers wore on. Tressell has not been competitve as far as NC titles go since 2002. He backed in to title games in 2006 and 12007 thanks to very soft schedules, and got trouced both times. Now he is losing to the likes of Purdue. Just like Carroll started losing to the likes of Stanford, UCLA, and Washington. Coaches simply get too predictable. Maybe that is Tressell's problem. Certainly it is on offense.

They will open the season ranked #3. Who is going to beat them? Va. Tech in Landover? I promise you that every BCS team in the nation is pulling for Va. Tech in that game, because that is the only game that Boise has a legitimate shot at losing. Sure, they can get lazy and lose to Oregon State at home or Nevada in Reno, but realistically, if they beat Va. Tech, they are going undefeated, and it will take two undefeated BCS teams to keep them out of the Big Game, just like last year. Unlike last year, I do not see that happening. The only team that plays a schedule softer than Boise State is another non-BCS team, TCU, and I have no clue as to what they are doing. They only have 10 games scheduled so far, and as for as I can determine, all other major teams have their schedules full.

I think 'Bama can easily lose to Arkansas. First, it is their 2nd away game in a row. Next, they have Florida the following week, while Arkansas has a bye. Next, 'Bama loses 9 starters on defense and Arkansas returns 9 starters on offense. 'Bama also has the big target on it's back, being the defending SEC and National Champions. 'Bama homers better realize that they had to have every conceivable break last year just to get into the NC game, including some very questionable calls that went their way. Alabama will be the favorites in that game, and rightly so, but to say that there is no way in hell they lose to Arkansas is totally ridiculous.
