    Las Vegas Bowl
Comments? Thoughts? My initial thought here is that BYU should not be able to hang with Cal. I haven't looked into this real heavy yet but thought I would share that thought. I see that this line has gone above 7 so I'm borderline on this one. Certainly Cal has some motivation from their embarrassment from last year against Texas Tech.

Not sure how I'll go here. Would love to hear some thoughts from the forum.

In case anyone is interested, I ran some power rating numbers and came up with a line of:

    Cal -8
    Total: 58.5

I just compile about 22 different power ratings and average them. That's what that number is above.

        From the Pinnacle Pulse:

California (-7.5) vs. BYU (Pioneer PureVision Las Vegas Bowl)

These two teams are headed in opposite directions. California started hot at 5-0 but then dropped 4 of its last 6 games to finish at 7-4 as the Golden Bears’ passing game has struggled under QB Joseph Ayoob. After limping to a 1-3 start, BYU turned it around and won 5 of its last 7. The Cougars’ first-year coach Bronco Mendenhall has built an offense around QB John Beck, who had 3,357 passing yards and a passer rating of 138.1.

Our opener of Cal -7 -105 was ignored by the sharps. The public likes California, with 80% of the bettors backing the Golden Bears. Public money has forced the line to creep up to Cal -7.5 -105. Sad though it is, this is our highest-volume NCAA Bowl game so far this week.

Public is on Cal. Fade Joe P. Favs from the Pac-10 have only covered at a 36.8% clip since 1999. Dogs from the Mountain West have covered at a 60% rate in that same time. Plus this is practically a home game for BYU.

It IS sad that this is the highest volume game so far but understandable as these are both major programs. i hate this game personally but i will go for value here and lock this one in when i can get BYU+7.5(-105)

Yes, Illusion, they get my money tonight also. I learned my lesson going against you last night. Who knew that you had Jordan Palmer on your payroll?
