How many more seasons before Charlie Weis tucks his tail between his legs and goes back to the pros as an assistant?

70th maybe.
Michigan is still probably a top 30 team.

Coming into this game their Sagarin rating was 63 and Michigan's was 69 so they will obviously drop quite a bit more from there. I'd guess 75 to 80.

I dont think they sould be in the top 100.......I would almost bet my life that Navy beats them this year and Air Force will give them a big run for their money

They might very well be a dog against the service
academies. Can you imagine that? When did that
happen last, has to be 30 or 40 years ago.
Am I correct? They have minus rushing yards after three
games. If so, that is unbelievble. I don't ever remember
that happening to any other top tier team. Do you?
Ok, head coach stinks, what about the dozen or more
assistants. They miss assignments, they don't block,
they don't pick up the blitz, and most importantly they
make few adjustments.
This team at one time had their choice of the best HS
athletes? Yes they now go to USC but they should still
be getting great HS kids. Something is very wrong
at ND, obviously.

Well consider the level of competition with GT, PSU, and Mich. A lot of teams would be 0-3 against that type of schedule.
While overrated as usual, ND is still better than all the Sun Belt schools, almost all the confernece USA schools, all the MAC schools, almost all the WAC schools, and only some of the MWC schools. I'd say ND is probably in the low 70s or high 70s in terms of rank of all 119 schools.

Buddy, you mean you think those schools would have minus rushing yards after games with the above mentioned three? I don't mean to be rude but I can't agree.

Well I don't know what would happen with each individual school against those first 3 teams on ND's schedule, but it's hard to imagine that they would not be 0-3 or at best 1-2. It is unlikely they would be as offensively as inepet as ND has been (not sure if anyone can be) but ND still has some major talent on their roster and that is more or less what I am basing that ranking on. It's one thing to lose to GT, PSU, and UM during a down year for their program and another thing to lose to Eastern Michigan, SMU, and UL-Lafeyette.

Yes, that is the mystery. They have talented players, they must. That is why I say something is very wrong. Let's see what happens in the next three or four weeks. You would think they must improve, how can they get worse?
