28+ pt favorites are only 41-59 ATS since 1993 in week 1 (including rutgers last night)

I do think that in week one, the big favs have a higher propensity to cover than in any other week of the year...the more teams start playing the more the gap closes between the good and great teams...

That is my point. The first week, most of these teams shouldn't be playing each other. It's all money driven for the smaller schools. There winning to take a butt kicking, and a chunk of $$$$ Look at the first few games already. Louisvlle 73-10, Rutgers winning by 30+, and also LSU blowing out a conf foe. We will see after Sat, if this is true or not.

totally agree...people really were struggling with my LSU play yesterday, but no way I make that same play in week 6...just have found that week one goes this way a lot in college football...good observations here bud...
