    WinPicks software....anyone?
Curious if anyone ever uses(d) this WinPicks software? Seems reasonable price to get a lot of current data in one place?

    Thanks for any feedback.

Yes I use it, and find it an invaluable tool. I must say that NFL is better though, because their formulas are based on stats as opposed to the CFB formulas, which are based on conference.

      playstation simulations?

Thanks LT. Damn, the NCAA is what I was looking at using though, might not bet much NFL this year.

Also, anyone been playing around with the playstation simulations at all. I remember there was a thread on this subject last year. Got a buddy of mine running some just to see how they stack up against reality over first few weeks.

        nevada,

Don't get me wrong, CFB WinPicks is still great. Just because the formulas are weak, that does not take away from the rest of the tools.

Not at all, figure I'm gonna check it out this season regardless. Just good to know someone has some firsthand experience with it.

            One more day..........

Guys, you could all download a trial version from the microbro.com website. If there is a trial verson of the Parlay Pack (NFL, CFB, NBA, CBB), go for it.

I'm playing around with the trial version.

LT, is it possible to download into it results from say the past 20 seasons?

I use it for college football. Great as initial filter, if used correctly.

If you buy full version, CFB and NFL data goes back to 1985.

Also, the data can be downloaded into Excel for the first time this year, which lends itself to more flexibility.

                            Hi Guys!

I bought the NFL and CFB versions and have been playing with the formulas in both and doing a lot of backtesting which I believe is a very strong point for the software.

I've seen some good season long win percentages in both versions depending on how you tweak the formulas (65-70%). Of course this is all past data.

I'll be putting it into live action this weekend. We'll see!!!

I have been using the trial version for about a year with some success in analyzing formulas. Have been tempted to purchase the full versions for all sports to create an arsenal. Along with other web query excel stuff of my own design I have been testing. Looking forward to more discussion on this topic.

                                MASSIVE BUMP..... and i apologize....

i am very curious about this........... when people like the nfl version better than the NCAAF version, i am assuming they mean the formulae that micro brothers uses themselves? i assume you can just make your own formulae?

i'm most interested initially in basically analyzing ATS and O/U surprises.......... sort of like momentum and value in the stock market... play/fade teams that beat (miss) the cover for awhile. then at some point you reverse (terribleness for too long, or a decent cover for the team).

basically technical/quant analysis of ATS and O/U results.....

then later i'd do this team has excellent passing offense playing team with terrible pass defense... basically automating incredibly time consuming handicapping type analysis.

                                thansk in advance!
