September 2nd guys. That is the starting date for College Football, as we speak. Some pretty decent games come to mind. LSU-UNC in Atlanta on Saturday the 4th. Boise State-Va. Tech on Monday the 6th. USC and we alums will be watching these games while we enjoy "Pupu" hour in Honolulu. USC plays Hawaii on the 2nd.

The only time I get mildly interested in College Hoops is when the big tourney starts. Of course being in Southern California, that interest will be much less this year. USC will not participate in any post season play, and UCLA is terrible this year. The entire Pac 10 is terrible.

Football is King in College Sports. I guess if you are an alum of Georgetown, or Seaton Hall, hoops is a big deal, but if you are an alum or fan of any FBS Football team, Football is by far and away #1.

People in the NE care more about hoops than football. The best athletes here play basketball, not football. Entirely different than Florida, Georgia, CA, Texas, Ohio, PA, Louisiana, etc.

Definately finishes later. There will be no additional bye week, but as of now, it appears that the schedule goes to 18 regular season games. The NFL refuses to start their season before Labor Day. The worse the weather, the better the ratings for the NFL. The only forseeable problem is for Fox, who'se NASCAR season starts with the Daytona 500, which now could be run on the same day as the Superbowl.

Actually I find that Horses and College Football is the easiest way to make money. One gives you the most wgaering options, and the other gives you the most time in between wagers.

me either football season is so much better than anything else. Whether it be nfl or ncaa I wanna see clemson do somethin next year and get back to the way they were!!
