Friday night college football action features an ACC matchup between the Seminoles and Wolfpack at 8:00 PM ET on ESPN.
SBR's Phil Wood shares his best Florida State vs NC State player prop bets:
Tommy Castellanos Over 235.5 passing yards (-114 via FanDuel)
"Castellanos threw for just 189 yards in a blowout win over Virginia Tech last week, but he’s still topped 235.5 passing yards in six of his last seven games.
NC State has the worst pass defense in the entire country, as the Wolfpack are allowing 299.9 passing yards per game. Castellanos has completed fewer than 60% of his passes five times this year. But NC State is allowing an average of 8.1 yards per pass attempt, so even if Castellanos struggles with accuracy, his completions will be meaningful. After all, in four of the five games in which he struggled, Castellanos still topped 235.5 yards."
Duce Robinson Over 85.5 receiving yards (-114 via FanDuel)
"If Castellanos is going to have a huge game, then so is Florida State’s leading receiver. Robinson has 49 catches for 947 yards this season. He has three consecutive 100-yard games and five total this season. He’s topped 85.5 yards in seven of his 10 games.
NC State has allowed a receiver to top 90 yards in four consecutive games. Robinson is the only Florida State receiver with a chance to hit this mark on Friday, as he has 425 more yards than any other Florida State receiver."
Terrell Anderson to Score a touchdown (+225 via DraftKings)
"Anderson has been quiet the last couple of weeks, but he still leads NC State in receiving yards and is second on the team in receptions and receiving touchdowns. He hasn’t caught a touchdown pass in three games, but he did catch one against Notre Dame, and he caught two against Duke.
NC State has thrown 20 passing touchdowns this season, tied for the fourth-most in the ACC. Florida State has given up 15 passing touchdowns, but only nine rushing, so any scoring NC State does is likely to be through the air.
You could consider taking Justin Joly to score, as he leads the team in receiving touchdowns. However, he only has one more than Anderson, and his price is +155, much less favorable than the +225 that DraftKings is offering for Anderson."
