    Friday: Tulane vs Memphis Prediction
Two teams hoping for the Group of 5 playoff bid square of Friday night when the 8-1 Tigers host the 6-2 Green Wave at 9:00 PM ET on ESPN.

SBR's Brenden Schaeffer offers some betting insight on the game in his Tulane vs Memphis prediction:

    Over/Under pick: Over 53.5 (-115 via DraftKings)

Game prediction: Memphis -3.5 (-110 via DraftKings)

"At 8-1 ATS, Memphis has been one of the best teams in the nation against the spread this season. We're looking for the Tigers to maintain their dominance - particularly at home.

Memphis is 4-0 ATS in home games this season, boasting an average ATS margin of +9.1 PPG in those matchups. Memphis has one of the most consistently potent scoring units in the nation, averaging 36.8 PPG (12th in FBS). Tulane ranks 68th nationally in scoring defense, allowing 25.5 PPG

That could be problematic for a Tulane team that is 1-3 ATS in road games, suffering an average road ATS margin (-15.0) that ranks as the sixth-worst in the country.

Tulane's two road wins came at Tulsa and South Alabama, two programs that rank outside the top 110 FBS teams in overall adjusted efficiency. A 35-point loss at Ole Miss and a 22-point loss at UTSA have called into question the degree to which Jon Sumrall will have his team prepared to compete against a quality road opponent."

Best prop bet: Greg Desrosiers Jr. Over 48.5 rushing yards (-114 via FanDuel)

"Stopping the run has been a weakness of the Tulane defense, as the Green Wave ranks 75th in run defense, allowing 157.9 rushing yards per game.

Though Memphis divvies up the responsibilities in the running game across several ball carriers, Greg Desrosiers Jr. has shown the ability to break out for big production when he draws the requisite workload.

Desrosiers Jr. has run for 50+ yards in 3 of his 4 games with double-digit rushing attempts this season.

That type of opportunity could show up in this game as Tulane ranks 111th in FBS in limiting opposing rushing attempts, permitting 39.1 rushing attempts per game to its opponents."
