SBR's Phil Wood shares his thoughts in his early USC vs Notre Dame prediction:

    Under 61.5 (-110 Caesars)

"Notre Dame has held opponents to 13 points or fewer in its last three games. In Week 7, they held an NC State team that had scored at least 21 in all of its games to just seven points and 233 yards of offense.

USC is averaging 45.5 points per game, third-most in the nation. However, they’ve scored 32 or fewer in back-to-back games. Notre Dame is allowing just 20.8 points and 351.5 yards per game, despite facing two top-five teams. Additionally, Notre Dame is averaging 36.7 rushes and 172.7 rushing yards per game, so look for them to control the clock and keep USC out of its usual offensive rhythm."

SBR's Mike Spector has a USC vs Notre Dame player prop bet circled as one of his best bets for Week 8:

King Miller to score a touchdown (+100 BetMGM)

"USC freshman running back King Miller has been limited to 29 rushing attempts this season, but should take on a much larger role in the Trojans backfield as the team is without leading rusher Waymond Jordan, who suffered an ankle injury last week.

In Jordan’s absence against Michigan, Miller created three explosive plays, and has averaged an eye-popping 10.7 yards per carry in a small sample size this year."

C'mon, Notre Dame. My favorite college team of all time. Even more against the USC Trojans. Put USC in their place.

SBR's Rob Paul predicts a big day from USC's top wideout as part of his best NCAAF player prop bets for Week 8:

Makai Lemon, WR, USC: Over 85.5 receiving yards (-115 BetMGM)

"If the season ended today, Lemon would be the Biletnikoff Award winner without question. He's been one of the most electric playmakers in college football this season, drawing comparisons to fellow West Coast star Jaxon Smith-Njigba of the Seattle Seahawks. Like JSN, Lemon seems to always be open, and like JSN, he's got a USC QB wearing No. 14 who's not afraid to put it up to him.

With Jayden Maiava looking like the next great USC/Lincoln Riley QB, he and Lemon give the Trojans a chance against a Notre Dame team that's a 9.5-point underdog. Notre Dame's pass defense has had issues at times under new defensive coordinator Chris Ash and ranks just No. 57 in EPA per pass … USC's offense is No. 1 in EPA per pass.

Lemon ranks top 10 in the country in yards per route run (4.16), YAC (332), forced missed tackles on receptions (15), and first down catches (29). He's the focal point of Riley's offense, and that shouldn't change against the Fighting Irish."
