"South Alabama has been a different team at home than on the road. Its lone win came in Mobile, and the Jaguars very nearly upset Tulane, ultimately falling 33-31. South Alabama lost by 18 to Coastal Carolina, but that was an eight-point game with just over six minutes remaining.
Meanwhile, Arkansas State is 0-3 away from home and has been outscored 112-51. With a run defense allowing 5.7 yards per carry, I struggle to see how Arkansas State can slow down a rushing attack that managed 190 yards against Tulane’s defense, which is allowing just 149.7 rushing yards per game.
South Alabama has rarely played from ahead this season, but the team is still averaging 44.8 rushes per game and 4.5 yards per carry."
Player prop bet: Kentrel Bullock Over 93.5 rushing yards (-114 via FanDuel)
"Bullock hasn’t rushed for more than 86 yards since Week 2, when he ran for 107 against Tulane. While this number may initially seem high, there are a lot of reasons to back the running back who is averaging 4.6 yards per carry.
Bullock leads the team with 108 carries and 496 yards. Though South Alabama has four key pieces to its rushing attack, Bullock has 46 more carries than the next closest rusher. Bullock has averaged at least 4.1 yards per carry in all but one game this season. Considering Arkansas State is allowing nearly six yards per carry, Bullock will easily hit this number with 20 carries, a milestone he’s already hit in three games this season."
