Indiana vs Oregon early prediction from SBR's Rob Paul:

    Under 55.5 (-110 BetMGM)

"It can be easy to get swept up in the quarterback play of these two programs; Oregon's Dante Moore and Indiana's Fernando Mendoza are among the Heisman Trophy odds favorites after all. However, the Ducks haven't combined for Over 55 points with an opponent for three straight games, and the Hoosiers are walking into by far their toughest matchup of the season.

Dan Lanning's Oregon program is ranked No. 3 in SP+ on defense, allows the eighth-fewest PPG in the country (12.2), and gives up the seventh-fewest yards (238.2). Curt Cignetti's team is just as good on the defensive end, ranking No. 6 in SP+ on defense, allowing the third-fewest points per game (9.6), and the fifth-fewest yards (221.4). This will be the toughest matchup of both Moore and Mendoza's careers, and should have a major impact on the Heisman race and the NFL draft odds.

While Moore and Mendoza's NFL futures will be the talk of this game, both of these defenses are loaded with NFL talent, too. Oregon's Matayo Uiagalelei, A'Mauri Washington, and Bryce Boettcher have the Ducks ranked No. 15 in EPA per pass on defense, while Indiana's D'Angelo Ponds, Mikail Kamara, and Amare Ferrell have the Hoosiers ranked No. 7.

SP+ projects these two to combine for 50 points, and CFB-Graphs has them at 54 points."

Suffering IU football fan my entire life, but Oregon is big $ now. They're the LA Dodgers of Cfb. Idk? People say they'll run all over IU, but we held Judkins Ohio State to something like 12 carries for 32 in Columbus last year. Hopefully IUs experience wins out, but Im not playing it. I'd lean Oregon by 10-17
