Pretty short odds for Clemson to win the ACC, but can still get them at plus money. Miami looks to be their biggest threat, sitting between +380 & +450.

Colorado - Win total: 5.5 wins (Over -140 | Under +115)

"Before Deion Sanders took over at Colorado, the Buffaloes had one nine-win season in the past 20 years. Coach Prime took the program to new heights last year, guiding it to a 9-4 record while helping to bring the Heisman Trophy to Boulder for only the second time.

While Sanders has undoubtedly performed a miracle at Colorado, the team also hasn't been as good as the media attention makes it seem. Sanders' son, Shedeur, and Hunter carried what was otherwise an unimpressive group of players to 13 wins over the last two seasons.

All of that is to say the Buffaloes could be in for a tough time with those key pieces now off campus.

Coach Prime hit the transfer portal and recruiting trail hard in the offseason, adding former Liberty starter Kaidon Salter to help the offense transition smoothly after losing its two best weapons. Salter led the Flames to a 21-5 record in his two years under center, but to say this is a step up in competition is an understatement.

The Buffaloes benefited greatly from one of the Power 4 conferences' easiest schedules last year. Their opponents get significantly tougher in 2025, and when evaluating their schedule, it's tough to find even five guaranteed wins.

For these reasons, I'll take a flier on Colorado Under 5.5 wins in a much-improved, deeper Big 12. I'd recommend getting this action at BetMGM with the sportsbook's +115 offer leading the market of the best sports betting apps."

LSU - Win total: 8.5 wins (Over -185 | Under +150)

"Brian Kelly is 29-11 in his first three years with LSU. While this mark is much better than the final two years under Ed Orgeron, the fact remains that the latter delivered something the former hasn't yet: a national title. In fact, the former Notre Dame frontman hasn't so much as sniffed the College Football Playoff.

While Kelly's 10-year, $95 million contract makes an early dismissal difficult to imagine, patience is wearing thin in the Boot.

The Tigers have put together one of the most talented groups anywhere in the country. They bring in a top-10 recruiting class in addition to the top-ranked transfer portal class. For the first time since 2019-20, it feels as if the Bayou Bengals are built for championship contention.

Between bringing back quarterback Garrett Nussmeier and defensive coordinator Blake Baker making strides with that unit in his second season, LSU is poised for a deep playoff run. Whether or not the Tigers can put it all together is a different story entirely.

This is the most talent that Kelly has had on either side of the ball during his time in Baton Rouge. Other than trips to Alabama and Clemson, LSU welcomes its trickiest opponents to Tiger Stadium. The home-field advantage mixed with the team's flair makes me confident the Tigers will go Over 8.5 wins."

Michigan - Win total: 8.5 wins (Over -175 | Under +145)

"The buzz around the Big House is palpable. Michigan rolled out the red carpet to keep highly-touted recruit Bryce Underwood at home after a sub-optimal quarterback situation last season. The Wolverines secured the future superstar signal-caller's services, and they hope he can elevate them back into title contention.

While these shoes might be a bit big for a true freshman to fill, Sherrone Moore's defense is still among the nation's best. The Maize and Blue's 8-5 title defense last year was seen as a huge disappointment, but a win over Alabama in the ReliaQuest Bowl has Michigan faithful beginning to believe again.

Oddsmakers' expectations are a bit more tempered. Some of the best sportsbooks list the Wolverines' win total at O/U 8.5 regular season wins. I believe this line severely undervalues Michigan's potential with its navigable schedule.

The Wolverines get their toughest Big Ten opponents, like college football championship odds favorite Ohio State, at home, with the lone true road test being Oklahoma. Nebraska and USC are potential trap games in waiting, but nothing these recent national title winners haven't handled before.

BetMGM and DraftKings are the only shops still offering Michigan at O/U 8.5 wins. If you're feeling bold, consider backing the Wolverines with Caesars to go Over 9.5 wins (+140). I'll play it safe and bet Over 8.5 wins with DraftKings, despite the heavily juiced odds."

North Carolina - Win total: 7.5 wins (Over +140 | Under -165)

"Chapel Hill hasn't been this much of a circus since Michael Jordan stepped on campus in 1981. Tar Heel fans have taken no time at all to warm up to six-time Super Bowl odds champion Bill Belichick, as he dips his toes into the college coaching pool for the first time in his illustrious career.

While the roster left behind by the recently departed Mack Brown isn't anything to write home about after a 6-7 campaign, Belichick addressed the team's immediate concerns upon his arrival. Chief among those is under center, where North Carolina added former South Alabama standout Gio Lopez.

As a redshirt freshman, Lopez guided the Jaguars' offense to 30 points per game, good for a top-50 finish nationally. He showed a lot of potential with 25 total touchdowns to just five interceptions on 312 dropbacks. There's hope this roster, with Belichick and Lopez at the helm, is an immediate upgrade - it's hard to disagree.

Rome wasn't built in a day. That cliche serves as an important reminder heading into the legendary coach's debut collegiate campaign. After all, he did go 5-11 during his first season in New England before an 11-5 turnaround the following year.

Clemson is the undisputed top dog based on the ACC championship odds. However, the other spots reserved for contenders are up for grabs. UNC doesn't necessarily have eight guaranteed wins on its schedule, but there are a few toss-ups that could go the Tar Heels' way if Belichick's style translates well into the college game.

If you give me plus-money odds to back the best football coach on the planet, I'll take them every day of the week and twice on Sunday. I'm taking North Carolina Over 7.5 wins and I'm not thinking twice about it."

Ohio State - Win total: 10.5 wins (Over +110 | Under -135)

"Ohio State is a public darling as the third-most bet team to go Over its win total for the upcoming season. This should come as no surprise, considering the Buckeyes ran the table in the inaugural 12-team College Football Playoff to capture their first national title since 2014.

The champions' postseason dominance makes it easy to forget they went 10-2 in the regular season. In fact, Ohio State has lost at least one conference game in eight of its last 10 seasons and four of six under Ryan Day. This leaves no room for error with a non-conference schedule that opens with Arch Manning and Texas, hich we broke down in our Texas vs. Ohio State prediction.

The Buckeyes will be well-equipped to win every game, as the betting lines for each matchup show. However, navigating an undefeated regular season is harder on the gridiron than it is on paper when playing in a power conference - not to mention a number of replacements that need to be made in key areas, starting at QB.

In another year, I might be comfortable recommending betting on Ohio State Over 10.5 wins, especially at the plus-money college football odds offered by sportsbooks. But in 2025? O-H-N-O. It's a risk I'm simply not willing to take, seeing as the Buckeyes open the season against the No. 1 team in the preseason polls.

This line leaves no room for error, especially if Day's new-look team gets beat out of the gate by the Longhorns. Ohio State would then have to run the table in the Big Ten for just a third time in the last 11 years to cash the Over. With a question mark at quarterback, I'll pass on an underwhelming potential +110 return.

Regardless, it's important to lock in your Buckeyes win total bets before the season opener, as these lines will shift drastically regardless of the Week 1 result."
