I'll go with the leans on G Tech and Colorado.

Lubick has a good team, but Hawkins should straighten out the Buffs this year, and the best "revenge" games are always early season ones.

with the loss of kolb and a couple other key positions, I am not sure how much Houston will score. I think this game might make Oregon's defense look better than what it really is. I like Oregon -15.5

GT will not cover. Rookie qb only getting 3 points, no CJ and Weiss has 9 5th year seniors returning. He is not rebuilding by any means. I think this line should be 6.5. ND is undervalued this year because everyone has given up on them based on their performance last year.

You need to add Texas -37

with you on Texas...actually I'm on Houston and the points...think they have a lot of team speed and QB Joseph should step up and do a good job...they still have a lot of holdovers from last year's bowl team...Oregon has their own QB and defensive issues...seems like a lot of points to me...

I expect Oregon to cover this game in preparation for Michigan. Houston does not have a QB yet and Briles has said he won't make the decision until a couple days before the game. It will limit them in what they do and limit prep work because of split snaps. gl either buddy

I like Duke a lot and expect them to win this game relatively easily. Two reasons it will be much wiser to bet against them later in the year are their large number of returners and the fact that even bad teams have a lot of spirit early in the season, particularly in home openers. I like DJ Hernandez and Randy Edsel, but UCONN still doesn't possess the talent to be a road favorite against all but the dredges of college football, and surprisingly, I don't think this year's Duke team qualifies.

I like Houston to cover and take Oregon to the wire (though the Pac 10 officials won't let them actually lose the game), but the over seems wise. Oregon's defense is horrendous and Houston actually has better playmakers at the skill positions. The line is drastically inflated because of Kolb's departure. 10 or 11 is the true line on this game, and with the lookahead potential, if it's a 17- or 21-point game late, Belotti will leave the backdoor open.

Wisconsin is a horribly overrated team. They were the all-time epitome of a smoke and mirrors team last year. I certainly wouldn't lay over two touchdowns with a far inferior QB.

Notre Dame is the play against GT. I'm not saying they'll win, I'm not even saying I'll bet them. But it seems like everyone expects GT to show up and win easily. And, yes, they do have a very good defense. But it's my opinion that West Virginia's awful defense and lackadaisical effort in last year's bowl game (Gator?) has people expecting big things out of GT this season, while the Sugar Bowl + departures have people thinking ND will be awful. I actually think ND will surprise some people, win this game, beat Michigan, and have a pretty nice year overall. Huge coaching advantage as well.

I think Colorado +3 is the only play, but I expect both teams to be improved this year and will be looking to only play on them for the time being.

South Carolina buried an MTSU team much better than this Lafayette team last season, and Lafayette lost by a combined 86 points to the two major conference teams they played last season, so I guess that's the only play. Lookahead to Georgia though, so Spurrier may treat it like a preseason game.

I actually like the U in the Houston game. Houston has a good line and the running game should be good. I look for them to run more. The D is looking real good this summer. They got some tranfers, on from Auburn that should help out. They also have a really, really impressive punter who just walked on. He has some serious hang time. Last year UH would give the opponents a short field, that wont be the case this year. I also think they will keep it close. While Kolb is gone, the last two time UH has played Oregon they have kept it close with a less talented team than they have now, while Oregon was playing with more talented teams than they have now.

At the current line I just love the Tigers over Miss.St. Even when LSU struggled and didn't have the teams they have now, they have always manhandled Miss St. From knowing Les Miles and all the talk about USC he should be on a mission to show something and will open with a very impressive win. I was wondering about him pulling the "dogs" off with a big lead, but I don't believe that will be the case..

If I could get WSU at +14.5 I would consider but not anymore.....

I do like the SC play...it's a lot of points but UL-Lafayette lost their veteran QB (Jerry Babb) and to make matters worse they have a new offensive coordinator. That being the case, I don't expect to many SEC teams to have an easy time scoring on SC's defense this year...I can certainly see SC pitching a shutout and winnig something like 41-0.

Lean toward Duke though but need to get it back to +6 before I play it. The other games no opinion as of now.

Staying away from some of the consensus picks for Top 6-7 or so in the preseason polls just because I believe one of them is going to get popped (or barely cover against someone they should kill) early on. I'm sort of being a wuss about some of the upper echelon teams in the early going.

Not much of an opinion, but I really like Duke this year. I think they will make a bowl game. Sounds crazy, but I like them. Best QB Duke has ever had.

UCONN -6.....agreed and I will play it.

HOUSTON/OREGON OVER.....agreed but will not play it.

Wisconsin -14.5.....agreed but will not play it.

Georgia Tech +3.....agreed but will not play it.

Colorado -3.....disagree but will not play it.

South Carolina -28.5.....disagree but will not play it.
