You SEC guys can fight among yourselves. Kiffin is a good hire for USC. And regarding UCLA, Neihusel won't win squat. I could coach USC and UCLA still wouldn't win.

Well, I can't comment on Neuheisel because I'm biased. Many years ago, I was working night desk at a dorm at a high school football camp. He came in about 11 one night to see a coach at the camp. While he was waiting for the coach to come down, he talked football with me for a good 15 mins. Great guy, and I can understand why kids want to play for him. Plus, he's like us and enjoys a good NCAA bracket pool!

I didn't expect him to only stay 1 year at Tenn. I thought Steve Sarkisian was higher on the list for USC but he didn't want to leave UW after only a short stint.

Kippy coached under Majors and with Fulmer. He coached Carl Pickens and some of the best WRs TN ever had. He's been in the NFL for several years. He just came back.

Hard to say snce he's never been one. I will say he definitely knows the game. He came back to KNoxville basically though to be an assistant and retire there so I figure he's gonna be a fill in until they get someone. The whole athletic dept. and players are confused as fukk right now. there's gonna be a press conference at UT in about 45 min.

The crowd then moved to an office area where an impromptu press conference was being held for Kiffin.
Police were called to quell the crowd, which calmed down once officers arrived.
The crowd eventually became rowdy and were asked to disperse without incident.

Given the situation USC was in, they couldn't have made a better hire. Ties to the area, history with the program, and HC experience at the college level.

Bringing Chow and Orgeron along is huge. This is basically the same staff they had during the glory years (01-04) minus Carroll.

Really sucks to be Tennessee with NSD a few weeks away. No clue who they will target this time around (David Cutcliffe?).

This is true. Kiffin did a good job of recruting at Tennessee. He should have no problem recruiting in Southern California. This is worst case senario for Neuheisel and UCLA. He now has to recruit against people who have been there, done that, and have the national championship rings to prove it. I believe it was Tennessee who was a blocked field goal away from defeating 'Bama in Bama.
