Look for Tuberville to get a good shot. He is a great coach and is from Texas. Keep in mind he is a defensive coach so he would need to grab a new o-coordinator.

Tuberville is begging for the job. This would be a huge mistake. Texas Tech is an offensive minded team. It would take years of recruiting to turn Tech into a defensive powerhouse. Besides, Lubbock Texas is not exactly a dream spot to play in. A closer look at Leach's record will find that he was 2-8 vs Texas, 3-7 vs OU. He neer won a Big 12 title, and never played in a BCS game. He was 5-4 in bowl games. In all the years that Leach coached there, Texas Tech only played 4 non-con games against BCS opponents. One vs Ohio State, one vs Arizona State, and two vs N.C. State. He lost all 4 of them. The only reason why Texas Tech made so many bowl games is because they played so many patsy non-con games. Even this bowl win is tainted. Texas Tech beat a team that ended up 6-7 and had 9 players suspended.
