    Stanford Oklahoma ?????????? I'm clueless
1.Is this another game where you have no idea what the hell is going on until it is to late???

    2. Is there players not suiting up because of injury or suspension for Stanford

    3. This is a very generous spot at +10 to Stanford in my eyes and if all is playing hell the money line should be good what ya think???

4.Stanford is a great team this year could of made a run at national title if they would have been consistent ACTUALLY
I am going to go out on a limb here and say next year they will make a strong run for a national title. and no I'm not a fan I just think that's how strong their program is

5.Oklahoma is how can I put this Hmmmm... completely garbage this year compared to years past

somebody want to fill me in on why I should not put my life savings on Stanford

Was the line always +10??? I thought the line was like -4 a few weeks ago

I like Oklahoma especially with the Pac10 wetting the bed but Stoops on their sideline makes this probably a no play. They don't call them choklahoma for nothing.

Stanford's QB is at best limited to play and OU's D is very good. Stanford will have to rely solely on their run game. A one dimensional team cannot beat OU. Putting your money on Stanford...you might as well toss it in the garbage. OU 37 Stanford 24. Yes I grew up in OK and my name says Sooner but I don't cap based on being a fan. Goodluck however you bet.

I like Stanford team UNDER 22. I really don't think they will be able to put up too many points in this one.

I think Oklahoma wins this one. Offense might not be that great after Bradford went down but their D will keep them in the game. But either way we got 4 other games to pick from.

I found this from the SanFranGate

Quarterback Andrew Luck didn't practice Tuesday, a day after having surgical pins removed from his right index finger. He still had a protective bandage on the finger as the team worked out in chilly weather on a high school field.

It's "very doubtful" that he'll play at all in Thursday's Sun Bowl, according to Stanford offensive coordinator David Shaw. No. 2 man Tavita Pritchard will start and probably play the whole game.
Although Pritchard doesn't have Luck's strong arm, the changes to the game plan are "minimal," Shaw said. "Tavita has been in the system for three years now. ... We know him as well as he knows us. We've kind of grown with him over the last three years in this offense."

The line started at 10, went down to 7 then back up.

Also, it looks like Luck will play. http://www.newsok.com/article/3428650

How many dimensions does Oklahoma have?? I don't remember many from the regular season, especially when Bradford gt hurt.

If you start to see a swing in spread meaning Stanford going from +10 to +9 or lower this would most likely be the reason

Stanford QB has pins out, may play in Sun Bowl

                                  Dec 31 (San Francisco Chronicle)

EL PASO, Texas (AP)—Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck has had pins removed after surgery to repair his broken right index finger, and coach Jim Harbaugh says the freshman might play in Thursday’s Sun Bowl.
During a news conference Wednesday in El Paso, Harbaugh said Luck “is progressing nicely.”

Harbaugh says Stanford coaches and medical staff are hopeful Luck will be able to play against Oklahoma. Harbaugh also says he plans to wait “another 24 hours” before making a decision on his availability.
Tavita Pritchard, a senior, has been taking snaps for the No. 19 Cardinal in practice.

Agreed but I think it's the bigger risk to take OK because of the unknown play of Stan. WITH OR without LUCK

Pac 10 is very very weak!

I'm all over Okla! The Pac 10 is terribly weak this year. Did you see Nebraska carve up Arizona? Arizona had the 2nd best defense in the Pac 10..neb (worse offense in the country) moved through that defense like a "hot knife through butter"

I think Standford gets shutout in this game!

                                                  Oklahoma offense vs. Stanford defense
                                                  • The biggest challenge for the Cardinal defense will be limiting Oklahoma on the perimeter. CBs Richard Sherman, Johnson Bademosi and Kris Evans have not held up their end of the bargain in coverage. They have struggled to find and play the ball and have had issues limiting yards after the catch. This does not bode well going up against a deep and talented Oklahoma receiving corps. WRs Ryan Broyles and Brandon Caleb are explosive and dangerous with the ball in their hands, while Dejuan Miller and Adron Tennell possess the size and body control to provide matchup problems when the ball is in the air. QB Landry Jones has seen his share of ups and downs this season, especially when away from Norman. However, he should have the opportunity to turn in a solid performance to end the year against a Stanford pass defense that has surrendered too many big plays.

                                                  • Having nearly five weeks off before playing this game allows the Sooners to get healthy and solidify an offensive line that has been decimated by injuries this season. LOT Trent Williams, LOG Brian Simmons and ROG Tavaris Jeffries have all missed games or seen limited action at some point in the season. With these three back to nearly 100 percent they should be able to give Jones ample time to survey the field against a Cardinal front four that has struggled to generate a consistent pass rush. This means if co-defensive coordinators Ron Lynn and Andy Buh want to heat up Jones, they must dial up pressures from their linebackers or third line of defense. They must be careful when picking and choosing to bring these blitzes, though, because they'll be sacrificing defenders in coverage. That's not something the Cardinal can afford to do on a consistent basis.

                                                  • The Sooners will look to keep balance offensively with RBs DeMarco Murray and Chris Brown. Murray is more of a big-play threat, while Brown has done it with savvy and patience as a runner. Brown will test the Cardinal front seven, who have struggled to maintain gap control at times. In addition, Stanford must get improved play from its linebacker corps to have success at slowing these two down. MLB Nick Macaluso is still settling in since taking over for Clinton Snyder late in the season and has been caught out of position at times. OLBs Will Powers and Shayne Skov lack prototypical range and have struggled to break down in the open field. This could be an issue against Murray, who has the burst and elusiveness in the open field to make them pay.

                                                  Stanford offense vs. Oklahoma defense
                                                  • QB Andrew Luck is doubtful after having surgery on a broken finger on his throwing hand earlier this month, and the Cardinal will turn to backup Tavita Pritchard. Watch for coach Jim Harbaugh to look to his offensive line and RB Toby Gerhart to shoulder the majority of the offensive load. After averaging 29 carries per game over the final four contests of the season, Gerhart will have some well-deserved rest and should be fresh to handle 30-plus carries if needed. This ball-control philosophy by Harbaugh will not only help open up a few easy throws for Pritchard to get his feet underneath him, but will also be an effort to keep the potent Sooners offense grounded on the sideline.

                                                  • Stanford wants to control the clock on the ground, but getting Gerhart on track is going to be a tall task against a tough and physical Oklahoma front seven. Led by DT Gerald McCoy and DE Jeremy Beal, who have lived in opponents' backfields this season, the Sooners' D-line is extremely disruptive. The Cardinal offensive line must do a good job of getting into position and keeping this unit's penetration to a minimum because Gerhart is far less effective moving laterally initially than he is coming downhill and generating momentum. When he can do that, his balance and power make him a load to bring down. Look for defensive coordinator Brent Venables to cheat a safety or two near the line of scrimmage to get the extra defender in run support because Pritchard does not have the big arm to consistently make the Sooners pay downfield.

                                                  • The good news for Harbaugh is that Pritchard has ample experience after starting all 12 games in 2008. The bad news, however, is that Pritchard has a record of making questionable decisions, especially when under pressure, and threw 13 interceptions to just 10 touchdowns last season. The Cardinal offensive line has been adequate in protection but will be tested by a relentless Sooners' pass rush. Beal has been a force rushing off the edge (11.5 sacks) while McCoy shows the quickness and power to collapse the pocket from the inside. Venables is also doing a nice job of mixing up pressures from different launch points from the second- and third-level of defense. This means Harbaugh must do a good job of keeping Pritchard out of multiple third-and-long situations in which he will be vulnerable to making a poor decision and forcing throws into coverage against a Sooners secondary that has notched 16 interceptions.

                                                  Scouts' Edge
Motivation is a big concern for the Sooners, who come to El Paso after four consecutive years of BCS bowling. Still, the absence of Luck will make it tough for the Cardinal to capitalize on what could be a slow start for Oklahoma. The Sooners will load up the box defensively in an effort to slow down Gerhart and force Pritchard to beat them through the air. Look for the Sooners' pass rush to force Pritchard into a few errant throws leading to a couple of takeaways. The Sooners' offensive speed will prove too much for a Cardinal defense that lacks athleticism, and look for Oklahoma to come up with a few big plays in the second half to pull away for the victory.

Prediction: Sooners 34, Cardinal 20 EASP INSIDERS SCOUT

Hamm....how many dimensions does OU have? Well take your team, erase 11 starters from the roster and see if they put up 7 wins. Here's your dimensions...Murray, Brown, Broyles and Caleb. Oh and theres that Jones guy that threw for 6 TD's in a game this yr. Not to mention the D that only allows 13 pts. a game. I can change my ID name if you like but it won't change the fact that OU's speed on offense and relentless defense will win this game. Take OU and enjoy your cash!!!

Luck is not playing. He hs not practiced all week. He cannot throw the ball, so even if he played, all he would be able to do is hand the ball off to Gerhart. Luck is a freshman, so there is no use making matters worse for him.

As far as Stanford's chances next year go, they lose Gerhart, and 3 offensive starters on the line. They also lose 6 starters on defense, which has never been their strong suit going in. They go to Notre Dame (a place where they rarely, if ever win) Washington, Oregon and Cal. They may contend in the Pac 10, but they definately are not NC caliber.
