MAC teams were 0-7 in bowls 'til the 2 bowls so far, now 0-9.
Bowl teams off three consecutive losses SU are 16-8 ATS. When they are playing a team off back to back SU & ATS wins they are 6-0 ATS.
Bowl teams on a 3-0 SU & ATS run going into a bowl are only 10-25 SU & ATS vs team off SU & ATS loss.
        BG 1-4 ATS in bowls
BG 0-5 ATS as favs or dogs of 6 or less points

I'd have to say that Bowling Green is going to win this one in a shoot out.

I was one of the 5 people nationwide who actually watched the entire Utah State-Idaho game last month...so while I can't pick a side here (but if I had to, I'd take Idaho), I'll pound the over into the ground. Rain, nor sleet, nor snow (nor anything else for that matter) can keep these two teams out of each others' endzones. If a young Utah State team can put up 550ish total yards and 52 points on the Vandals, then BG should at least hold up their end of the bargain with that heavy pass game of theirs.

...now, watch this game's total be well under 68. So much for my first post here on SBR.

Idaho starts out 6-1 and shocking the world, and finishes a very Idaho like 1-4 0-5 ATS. Bowling Green starts out 1-4, and finishes 6-1, 5-2 ATS. Bowling Green is also 4-0 both S/U and ATS in their last 4 games. It is hard to pick the ice cold team against the hot one. If I were to play this game, I would have to go with Bowling Green. Idaho appears to be in full fold mode. Both conferences are terrible in Bowl games so far. I'll pass.

one trend that i love to follow.... When a team starts off as an underdog (+ points) and then moves to a favorite (- points) i always take that team.

Idaho started off at +2 and now is -1 with only 46% of the public betting on Idaho. I'll go with the bigger betters and take Idaho.

I'd like to say 46% constitutes as a reverse line movement but i think 46% is a little bit too high to say that... but close.

Not a fan of BG's QB, but love their Coach and Receivers(Barnes). I wonder how many Idaho fans will make the trip?

Throw out the hot streak cold streak nonsense. These teams have had time to rest and prepare. When you look at these two teams they are evenly terrible. But factor in:
                                                1. Idaho is playing in their state capital with several thousand alumni and fans to back them.
                                                2. Alvarado one of the Falcons defensive tackles is out, and the Vandals already average 160 yds. rushing a game. That number goes up as they keep Sheehan and Barnes off the field, not to mention less pressure on Enderle.
Bottom line.....Idaho wants to end this season on a good note in front of a home crowd. They have better rushing, better total offense and home field advantage. That's enough for me. Idaho wins 37-31.

Idaho OL avgs 309 lbs with short RB's who often get lost behind the big OL and make it difficult for the defense to react. Idaho has the homefield advantage in Boise and its their first bowl since 98' so one would think they have the motivation edge as well.
