I'm no fan of Texas, but I think the month layoff will only help them in this game. I'm shocked Bama is not at least a 7-point favorite.

As for the prior games, yes Ohio State sucked. But Oklahoma was right in that game last year and could have won if they didn't screw up several red zone scoring chances.

What's the point?

The point is that the SEC's speed will be the difference and the fact that Colt McCoy scored 13 vs Oklahoma and Nebraska should point to an easy victory for Bama.

31-20 Bama...and the game won't be as close as the score says...

Does Alabama have the speed that LSU and Florida had? hmmmm they look like a more physical type team then a speedy finesse team those two were....Looks like what is in common with that Ohio Stae vs Fla game which by the way I made the biggest bet of my life on Fla is that EVERYONE Is Crowning Alabama Champs befor the game is played....Just Like OHIO STATE In that Fla game,EVERY Media in the country already had Buckeyes Champs, they just had to get past that pesky 60 minutes on the field...I suggest look into motivation of the cornered dog more then speed.

Very interesting post. As they say, if the body of work is compared, Bama appears to have the edge.

Texas appears to be plodding through the season, just wanting to get to the title game.

Bama appears to be on a mission.

Sure both teams struggled as the season went on, but Bama appears to have over come.

Would should have and if and or buts, but if Neb has somewhat of an average offense, Texas would not have won the game.

This game reminds me of the other games where Ohio State came into the game and got blown out.

Two things that I do not understand. If Alabama has as good a defense, or a better defense than OU or Nebraska, why will Texas score more points against the 'Bama defense then they did against OU or Nebraska? Next, what does Ohio State or OU have to do wtih Texas? Remember, this Texas team defeated OU last year and got voted OUT of the Big 12 title game, and in effect, the BCS title game. Texas beat OU by 10 last year as a 7 point dog. Florida beat OU by 10 as a 3 point favorite. I do not see the relevence.

All I was doing is pointing out the absurdity in your post, and how it is totally irrelevent to this year's game. I think Texas is lucky to score 20 points against the 'Bama defense. First of all, Mr. Bears fan, I understand that this time of year makes you sad seeing as how the Cubs will never win, the Bears sold their franchise for a loser qb, and the Bulls blowing 35 point leads and firing their coach at this time of year is routine, but it doesn't mean u have to follow everyone around and tell them about how their bets are not a lock.
