First of all Merry CHRISTmas to all of you and your families!
Ive got Byu being Just a little better on both sides of the ball in the Holiday Bowl I mean BYU Bowl
BYU plays its 5th consecutive game
At first glance The over should be the best bet
Yet the under has been a trend for this game
2008 ------------ Arizona 31, BYU 21
Dec. 22, 2007--- BYU 17, UCLA 16
Dec. 21, 2006--- BYU 38, Oregon 8
Dec. 22, 2005--- California 35, BYU 28
At 58 this is a low total , I would like to see this game at 56 to go over
with such a close spread and both team capable of winning this game
oregon state has won its last 5 bowl games , last year wining 3-0 against pitt.
they are not giving up the deep ball like they were with Florida St. and TCU. 2)Oregon St's secondary is mediocre which isn't a good thing against a BYU team with a lot of options with receivers and big tight ends. Cougars are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a ATS loss.
I expect BYU to show up more ready to play this Las Vegas Bowl game than any they have played since they beat Oregon 30-8. Coach Bronco Mendenhall is an Oregon State alum, and coached on that staff. I think he will want to show well in that regard, so his team will come ready, unlike the last 2 LV Bowls. Plus, Max Hall has something to prove after his horrible passing game v. Utah
