Tech rolls with ease. St. is depleted with half their squad on trial.

I actually think all the suspensions will help MSU. I had them getting blown out initially but I think they may play above their heads now. Do you guys remember a couple of years ago when FSU had 20 players suspended (cheating on online exams) against UK in their bowl game? The line was first pulled then it was sky high, like 11 or something then it settled to like 8 or 7. I think it UK ended up winning by 7 so many people pushed but FSU made it a game even with half the team depleted.

Texas Tech has been a lousy bowl team. I've bet against them 4 straight years and cashed. I will be against them again, although I don't like Michigan State at all. Just a small play.
2008: Tech stomped by Ole Miss as a 4-point favorite
2007: Tech losing the entire game, rallies to beat Virginia but doesn't cover.
2006: Tech a huge favorite against Minnesota, losing 35-7 and wins in OT but doesn't cover.
2005: Tech a 3-point favorite against Alabama and loses outright.

^^^Which means nothing. USC was tremendously better then most teams they played this year and couldn't cover to save their asses. Tech is usually pretty bad away from home. I think they will win but 8 may be too many points. If it gets below 7 I might bite but this is screaming no play. If it goes to 10 MSU will be the play.

i lean to State based strictly on the line, no way would i play TTech with this current line, if it was under 7 then maybe, but not where it is currently sitting.

Being from Lubbock and watching Tech for over 15 years now, I can tell you this is one of the worst teams we have had in 8 years. No where near the high power, quick strike offense the nation is use to seeing. Everyone has always claimed it to be the system not the players in the Tech scheme but I think its obvious after this year, its the players. QB is marginal at best, and thats if Mike rolls with Taylor Potts. I wouldn't trust Tech with the food on the table thats for sure!

Your use to Tech's Top 5 or even Top 10 Offense. They dont have that this year. Not to mention thier 69th overal NCAA Ranked D? Im staying away!

This game features the worst of both worlds. Michigan State has between 8-10 players suspended, 3 or 4 of which are starters. They are also a Big 11 team, which should always raise red flags in bowl games. As Seattle Slew correctly stated, T-Tech is a terrible bowl cover. 0-4 in their last 4 games shows that the public expects more out of this team than they give. I tend to shy away from games between bad vs worse teams, and this is certainly one of those kind of games. Pass here.

you just had to put this dumbass dancing out there didn't you... jinxed man!
Tech will take this and I love the line, big ten was garbage this year. Tech still has a little firepower left I like em a lot in this game but is by no means a

Graduated from Tech and have been betting on/against them for almost 40 years and it's my opinion that the Red Raiders will cover the -8.5 with no problem whatsoever. In fact, I think they'll cover anything under 12.5 without working up a sweat.

Beware of players not playing. Teams seem to get fired up (Us against the world) when they are short handed, especially in their very next game. The loss of players really don't take effect until the 2nd or 3rd game in football and basketball. I think the players suspensions mean nothing. If you like Tech then like them because they are the better team but don't side with them just because MSU is missing players.
and I agree with many of the Tech fans... This is one of the worst Tech teams in quite some time. People are betting on them based on the past few years IMO.

I have to agree with Mac here. The MSU suspensions do not amount to much. Just check out the positions of the starters who have been suspended. The Big 12 is way over-rated again, and while they should be able to handle a 6-6 Big 10 team, I would not give over 7 points, no matter what T-Tech homers may think. I am sure tha they thought tha they could handle a 4 loss Ole Miss team last year, and they got their clocks cleaned. Texas Tech has always been a poor bowl team ATS, going 3-6 in their last 9 bowl games. I sure would not give that many points here with this team. Pass.
