    Saturdays Picks.....
ECU +3 -- I like Skip Holtz as a coach, this game is at home for the Pirates, Houston's D is terrible, and yes Case Kenum has the ability to put 40 on the board but their D can allow 50 to.

WV +3 -- Rutger's has never beat WV and I don't expect that to change today. A lot of people think WV won't be ready for this game after their game against Pitt, but I see the mountainers taking this one.

Pitt +2 -- I think Cincy is primed for an upset. I see them having mixed emotions about their coach heading to ND.

    Thats my Noon game card.

Interesting take on the ECU-Houston game. ECU is a 4 loss team that has scored 21 of les points in half of their games, while Houston is a two loss team that has been held to under 30 points once (29) and scored over 40 points 7 times. Everyone thinks that Skip Holtz is a great coach. I disagree. He won a couple of games last year against BCS teams Va. Tech and West Virginia and that is all people remember. What they forget is that he lost to ACC also-rans North Carolina State and Virginia, and to SEC also-ran Kentucky. I think Houston wins ths game and covers.

If I were going to wager on the West Virginia-Rutgers game, I certaily would take West Virginia and the points. I can not trust a team that loses to Syracuse. West Virginia does have the disadvantage of knowing where their bowl game will be, but they also have better offensive talent. Now whether or not Stewart knows how to use it is a totally different story.

I can see Pitt defeating Cincinnati and it has nothing to do with their HC going anyplace. Pitt has the defense to keep the score low. Cincinnati's defense has collapsed in the past 3 games, giving up a total of 102 points in those games, which is almost as many as they gave up in their first 8 games. Cincinnati has also failed to cover in their past 3 games, never a good sign.

I did not play anything today, opting instead to rest on my laurels, so to speak. I have had a tremendously successful season, and chose not to risk anything on what is always a tricky last week of College Football. Gl today.
