Houl...doesn't that Temple line seem very low? I'm not against the pick..but whenever I see a line that seems a little off..I stay away. Especially a 2 pt spread that dropped from 3..and on the road.

I really like Kentucky- Arkansas- and Central Florida. I also like the under in Col/Nebraska. I'm leaning on Colorado too.

without using benard pierce being out. I dont think that really matters TOO much. it didn't last week. I know temple has been playing solid football, (5 - 1 ATS in their last 6).

But OHIO has been winning too. They beat N.ill last week, a team I felt was pretty strong. I didnt SEE that game. Or the game against Buffalo ( a competitive MAC team, IMO)

To me, Temples ability to the run the ball is the obvious advantage here.

Anybody want to talk me off of this play.

I do something simialr to this. Looking at everyones picks except Mac. Only because I am unfamiliar with him. My question is whats the line on these games? I know they vary, but maybe you could all choose 1 book and go with their lines? Just a suggestion. Keep up the good work here fellas

If its still at 40, its a play. When I said too low It was pertaining to the opener at 37.5.

The line situation is my fault. Everyone sends there initial plays and ultimate final decisions to me and then I compile and compare and send them out to who is making the thread and I just sent the results and didn't look for the current line at the time. We all worked with whatever the line was at the time we individually capped the games but I was in a hurry trying to get the plays out to Houl's so he could post the thread and just omitted the lines in the process.

In the weeks to come if the group wants we could choose one book and include the line as it stands at post time.

A note on Temple...Matt "The Bug" Brown and his new primary backups Lamar McPherson and Jason Harper will have the luxury of running behind a large and physical offensive line, a unit that averages 6-foot-5 and 313 pounds from tackle to tackle. Over the past two weeks, that line has become more dominant as the game has worn on, as evidenced by the fact that Temple scored 49 unanswered points versus Akron two weeks ago and then 41 unanswered points last Saturday against Kent State. Playing against an Ohio team that runs a well-oiled spread offense with a trio of talented receivers should produce some points, but if Temple can control the clock they should be able to grind out a victory in the second half.

Temple's giving up the big plays and not answering with TD's. It's not looking too good, but its still early

Temple's play calling is suspect so far. They seem to be more effected by the cold weather too. Not looking good so far at all. I like them in the 2nd half so all is still not lost.

To a man I don't think any of us thought this game was gonna be an easy win for Temple. Ohio is a quality MAC team and are at home. We'll see how it all pans out in the end. Games still way early.

10-13 Ohio. Temple is turning it on late as usual. It would have been great for Temple to jump out ot a big lead, and we all pat ourselves on the back. But most covers take a whole game, and thats Temples advantage. Their run game will wear down Ohio,and get some scores late for the cover.

Ohio looks to be getting beat up pretty good right now. There looking like a MASH unit out there. I think they are going to fade in the 2nd half for sure. Hopefully Temple can put up some points before the half.

As soon as I said that, they score a TD. The good thing is that if Illini can keep scoring, the line has a chance. Cinci defense is very suspect and that was what I was hoping on.

Need Temple to step up the defense on this Ohio drive. Damn stupid penalties.

Penalties are killing the Owls. Also, the bad pass D...and...they aren't finishing drives on offense. It will be a miracle at this point if this one covers. Maybe Ohio lets their guard down.

Wow, Temple's defense is trash. They watch a ball lay up 20 feet in the air and didn't run to the ball. Damn, I thought they were better then this. Very undisciplined, getting faked out every down. and missing tackles. Shit, they need a turnover.
