While I would have agreed with the "Breaking news!!!" guy a couple weeks ago, I now feel its necessary to give the other side of the story ... sort of like the Fox News version now that he provided the CNN version. This number might have been a gift before last Saturday, but with Kentucky's win at Georgia this "gift" may have just become a trojan horse. A Kentucky win would mean the Cats finish 2nd in the SEC EAST behind only Florida (that's right ahead of Georgia, Tenn, and S. Carolina), and you'd better believe UK wants it! A lose however sends Kentucky all the down to 5th in SEC EAST (based on head to head tiebreaker). Even 2 years ago when Tenn went to the SEC title game, it took them 4 overtimes to get a win against Kentucky. While I would agree that Tenn has more talent, this Kentucky team is tougher and scrappier than about any other team I've seen this year which certainly helps make up the talent difference. Oh and I still haven't mentioned the home field advantage, which you can ask the LSU National Champion team about as one of their two losses that year came in Lexington. Am I saying Kentucky is a lock? Absolutely not. Personally I may sit this one out. If this game was 2 weeks ago I'd be all over Tenn, but with all the factors above in play I sure can't bet against Kentucky in this one. I just wanted to put the other side of the story out there.

I heard the same thing yesterday about how Western Michigan could not lose. That post even had a better, if incorrect, write up. Sitting this game out is the right call. What the vast majority of people who lose money in here (and there are many) do not realize is that sometimes no wager is the best wager.Comment -

I agree BigDaddy. You have to pick and chose games based on a number of factors. Everyone has their own ideas on how to pick games. But for certain, all smart gamblers (if their are such peoples) don't bet every game on board. They don't bet games because they are on TV. They don't bet games because they're bored and want some excitement. A smart gambler focuses on the theories/stats/trends and tries to find an advantage. Some games..there are no advantages. So you simply have to pass on the game...and NOT GAMBLE!
On this game...the spread seems a bit low. But Kustac..you make some good points that favor Kentucky coming inot this game f'n fired up. 2nd in the SEC South ahead of SC, Georgia, and Tenn? Wow..talk about a big game for the future of your program and the future of recruiting!!
BIG Game for Kentucky..I think their defense shuts down Tenn's weak offense and Kentucky, through will and home field advantage, wins this game by a field goal!

TN is my GOW! Too much public love for KY after beating GA in Athens first time since color TV & TN getting their asses handed to them by Miss. Kiffin will NOT lose this game & he's getting his freshman thug back this week. I follow the SEC very closely & this line is a trap. Be careful & good luck!Comment -
Profit: wouldn't this line being a "trap" as you described mean that the majority of the public would be taking UK? b/c majority of the public is on Tenn
