The books enjoyed a good weekend this week, winning in college football and bigger in the NFL. SBR.tv's Peter Loshak reports on some info from BookMaker as well as another outfit that takes sharp action.
BookMaker lost the biggest in college on Arizona St./Oregon and Arizona/Cal with the public and sharps both favoring the winning sides in those games. Stanford was reportedly a side that took big sharp action, and Loshak inquired specifically into Alabama/Mississippi St., a game that was much-debated on SBRForum.com.
In the NFL, outright wins by Jacksonville and Cincinnati killed a lot of teasers, and ATS losses by public-backed road faves New Orleans and Denver were big winners for the books as well. Sharp action was split on Dallas/Green Bay, with the early-week money on the Cowboys but the late sharp money coming in underneath on the Packers as a home dog.
One home dog that no one is biting on is Cleveland getting double digits in the Monday Night game against Baltimore. It's been a low-volume game so far with the public backing the Ravens but the sharper action having mostly stayed away a few hours before game time.
