I think rutgers is a really solid play. my only worry: Ackems 3 wins ATS in a row fade, as rutgers fits this formula. I'm still playing it though. Cuse is terrible. I dont buy a letdown here.

Great second of games saved my NCAA day. I may actually turn a profit, which would be sweet bc im not a bball handicapper by any stretch, it just seemed like itd be fun to wager on the marathon of games.

Official Plays w/ a few notes:

Boise State @ Utah St +24.5

Honestly, I'm loving this play. i dont think 24 points is too much chalk here. Utah state is an improved football team, But BSU is really beginning to hit its stride.

While they played LAtech about equal, BSU killed Hawaii, Utah state managed to lose to them.

Utah States D just isnt good enough to slow down BSU here, and BSU wont be slowing themselves down. Utah States only chance is to try and puts some points up through the air. but, they have struggled on offense against teams that can bring pressure, and BSU is one of those teams.

Boise St is also a full 9 points better in the YPP stat.

OSU @ Mich +12

ok, so michigan has really fallen. After crushing a delaware st team, theyve lost 4 straight, including 2 to purdue and ill. (in a game where they made an ill. team that i had on autofade look like an All-american team).

Do we have any reason to believe that they can stay within 12 points of OSU?

I think we do. first, lets remember that OSU is not an untouchable football club. They lost to purdue as well, and have looked downright bad at points this year. OSU is on the road. and Rivalry games are often closer than the big spreads put on them when one of the teams has been underperforming.

Michigan can score points (27th it the nation), especially if they can run the ball against this highly ranked buckeye rush D. The D will really need to step up here to keep the game close though.

Mostly Because of how much this home game vs OSU will mean to rich rod and his realing ball club, I'm going to take the +12. just too many points.

GL Dank, I am also on Michigan. I only took Boise St in ML Parlays, can't figure out if they win by 21 or 35 lol. I have faded the Cuse successfully a few times laying sizeable road chalk. This time I'm taking Rutgers teased down to -2.5 and ML Parlays of course. I can't see Rutgers losing this game.

boston college is favored here? really?

I cant figure this one out. the last 2 weeks BC has beaten Central mich and virginia. woopee. while they've lost to a SAD notre dame club and gotten blown out by a Vtech club that UNC handled in BLACKSBURG on a THURSDAY night.

UNC, on the other hand, is playing some really good football. minus a close lose to FSU, theyve been winning against quality ACC opponents (miami, duke, vtech). I dont see anything in the stats that makes me scared to take unc here.

Duke @ The U. of Miami -17

Duke is a better team than most people realize. On Offense, cutliff has the passing attack clicking. However, this wont help them handle the banged up hurricanes. If Duke could run the ball against this injured UM defensive front, I'd like them to cover. but their road rushing attack ranks all the way down at the bottom of the ncaa. this one will get ugly.

Maryland @ FSU -19

First glance, I thought 19 was too high a number. Looking at the game in more detail, I'm not sure. If FSU shows up to play on offense, which they have been, Maryland cant do anything to stop them. Their D is sad, and havent been able to stop anybody all year. while they held VA to just over 200 yards, they gave up nearly 500 to NCstate, wake, and vtech.

And while the FSU D is not the D of old, Maryland doesnt have the ability to exploit them. I like FSU to score 48 pts in this one, while Maryland only puts up around 20.

Miss St @ Ark -11

I intially jumped all over Ark at -11. After looking into the game, I'm not as confident. Yes, Ark can score. but Miss st is a better ball club than i assumed them to be AND they can run the football (ranked 6th in road rushing). Teams that can rush well have the ability to control the clock and keep games closer than expected.

The key to game will be the Ark Offense (ranked 8th) vs the miss st Defense (ranked 60th). If Ark looks like they have the last 3 weeks and drop 40 +, easy cover. If they come out and play like the did against missippi (17 pts), they'll be no cover.

I'm still expected Ark to win by 11, It just wont be a big a play for me.

YPP stat says play Ark.

Oklahoma vs Texas Tech +6.5

A lot of people are on Texas tech it seems. I still like Oklahoma. Both teams can score, only one of these teams can play D and rush the ball on the other - oklahoma. Yes, Ttech beat Neb, who beat Oklahoma. Oklahoma outgained Neb 325 - 180, but because of -4 turnover defecit, lost the game. Texas tech also beat KSU worse than Oklahoma did. However, where oklahoma destroyed A&M, Ttech was suprised and beat badly by the aggie squad at home.

I like these stats:

Oklamoma's total D - 5th
Road Passing D - 11th
Road rushing D - 29th

ISU @ Mizzou -15

Year stats dont mean much here, as mizzous offense is just not starting to roll. Not much analysis other than mizzou has put up over 400 yards and over 30 pts in each of the last 3 games. ISU cant keep here up (rank 100th in scoring at around 20.0 pts a game)

N. ill @ Ohio -1

In this pick 'em game, I like N.ill. They have faired pretty similar against common opponents. What i like here is N. ill's ability to run on ohio. (Nill 24th ranked in road rushing, while ohio is 88th in home rush
D). and I dont like Ohio's offense that much against the N.ill Defense. (Ohios 78th in total Off scoring while N.ill D is rnaked 26th)

I would feel more comfortable on UNC+2.5 first half than the +3.5 game line because UNC's offense fails move the ball leaving the defense on the field too much and they get worn down late in the game. If Carolina's not leading at halftime they're likely to lose. BC's offense isn't FSU's or Miami's though so I couldn't give UNC points either way.
