i watched that jimmy The Greek documentary the other night on espn. if you didnt you should watch it somehow, it was really interesting. anyway, he built his sports picks empire out of the early days. the mob days, when they actually did still run sports and politics. none of that exists anymore, or at least to the degree of when he was coming up. that was when sports handicapping was a true game. there was a right answer, you just had to know the people to get that answer, or really have it be an obvious pick. these days, every team is filled with equal talent. vegas knows this. they know everyone thinks they are, well, vegas. vegas itself is an emporium. the mere thought that it takes peoples money is usually what ruins the average gambler. they expect to lose. "thats how these places were built" to be cliche. its just obvious to me now. every game is a toss up. literally. if you think about it, baseball games are complete luck. every player is talented and the slightest centimeter of a difference from their bat on the ball could turn the swing from a home run to a ground out. this explains why most handicappers, regardless of "stature" or how good they claim to be or what system they have, usually end up at around 40%-50%. just burned a few long ones, decided to enlighten the board quick. i think i am right tho
There are still the haves and the have nots like LSU,Florida, alabama, Texas in college football they all still have elite talent but yeah the rest of the schools the gap isnt much now its a depth thing.
